yeah that's tough man, I sure wish it was easier for you guys. this whole situation is tough, but that's a lot of variables in the mix. this is when companies and people are not considering how they are affecting more people than just their direct interactions. good grief. I'm sorry man.

my grandma is thankfully in really good health and able to quarantine herself. dad working at a grocery store is a huge help because he gets all of the necessary supplies to everyone, but he has to be careful taking them to her since he is exposed to so many people in getting the stuff.

I have to check up on my dad every now and then too. My mom takes care of him, but they are both getting older and approaching their 80s, so I check up on them whenever I can. With this shit going around, I'll call before I come over and don an N95 before I go in their house.

The ridiculous thing is, we're not even busy. Not at all.

I will never understand the thought process of some people.

the factory that I so "critically" support, I haven't been into in over 3 weeks....aside from sarcastically going yesterday to prove I'm not needed except at my desk haha

I know no one wants to be at work right now but they are a lot of people that have been told go home for the next 3 months with no pay or insurance. Some have a Cobra option that cost $347 a month with no income. One guy I know says he can make it a few months and another guy I know has 4 kids and lives week to week. There is about to be a lot of people with family that will have no way to support themselves or their families.
    Child care workers
    People that cut hair
    Fast food and restaurants
    Airline workers
    Hotels
    Everyone involved in travel
    School support
    and thousands of others

Some states have already shut schools down for the rest of the year and child care places are closing too. What will all the parents that work do about child care so they can go to work, some of them have very young kids that can't stay by themselves?

Its about to get crazy, if you have a family to feed and no income what would you do to feed them, provide water, power and medical care?

Week to week here and they are possibly shutting us down soon. Hoping they will pay us, if not ill have to collect unemployment and see if there are folks who need side work done to their vehicles to try and make up the rest. Things are about to get very bad for us. Just hoping i can keep power and water on. May have to sell the wifes new car if it gets bad enough.

Everyone needs to anticipate this and go to a plan B. Wouldn't hurt to have a plan C as well. It's gonna get worse before it gets better. Hang tough and be proactive everyone!

Cases doubled in Lee County over night. From 3 to 7.
    So if you're counting,
Monday was 1 case, Tuesday 3, Wednesday 7(so far). Before the end of the day I'm sure that number will be at least 9 if not more

    1, 3, 9, 27, 81, 243, 729 etc. etc.

Those numbers are going to jump exponentially when we have consistent testing in Alabama. Numbers are low because we have limited places to test.

Exactly. The World Health Organization is pleading with governments to test everybody. Not just those with symptoms like the CDC is telling us. The CDC is only saying that because there aren't enough test kits. Understandable but we all need to be tested eventually.

This has the potential to be another Spanish Flu outbreak which affected 1.8 billion people worldwide, 27% of the world's population. Everyone needs to do their due diligence. If you don't have to go anywhere, stay home. Unfortunately, some of us still have to go to work...

I feel for you buddie. My wife's got rheumatoid arthritis and is on immunosuppressants, so she's one of the small percent many people don't care about. Luckily for us we're both at home for the foreseeable future, and both be getting paid. I'm so thankful to be in this position, my past work there's no way I could've worked from home, and definitely wouldn't be getting paid. And I really feel for those who are or are going to be hit by this on the financial and health side.
