That's actually one reason I went to the Progressives. I was dragging the Thunderheader. I'll just have to be a little more diligent making right turns. With the upgrades, I should be in the 100-105HP range (110-115 when I get the new carb), so I'll have to avoid aggressive cornering anyway...

AND, drum roll please, the brake line has now left Miami! After sitting at the post office for five and a half days.

Same here. Once I get a bike for touring (either a rubber mount Sportster Custom or an EVO Road King) this one will get the hardtail treatment. I really dug the Detroit Bros frames, but it will probably be a weld on from TC Bros or Lowbrow Customs.

One of the guys on the XLForum put this bad boy together from a 1986 883. I'm not gonna lie, it makes my boy parts bigger.

Yeah you're right...I get on a twisty road and can't help wanting to hustle through turns but that's not a cruiser's strong suit.

    Making some nice power there!

I don't blame ya. I have re-trained myself but still let some sparks fly every now and then. One of my friends went back to a sport bike after not being bale to break the habit.

There's a tool for every job as they say, I guess you just need multiple bikes lol.

This guy isn't letting his Harley slow him down!

Same as my brother went from a cbr954 to a harley back to a bmw s1000rr. He hasn't looked back. He liked the harley but was a struggle to keep up with the crew. Plus I think he missed dragging his knee around corners

I'm happy with the bike I have now. But after I pay off the wr450f. I plan on buying an adv bike. I'll never sell the cbr1000rr. My love is too strong for that bike. I'd sell the truck before I'd sell that bike

Choppers definitely aren't great for taking turns. When we sold American Iron Horse choppers at Daytona H-D I hated moving them around. They handle about as well as some of the big wheel baggers. There's no denying they look pretty cool though.

looks good, but I dont want to ride. At one point I wanted air suspension though. Its a cool idea to park, and air down to the frame. Weight savings to delete kickstand

The last Bike Week I went to (2018?) i was watching people try to make u-turns on those things. They'd take at least two lanes of traffic. Different air settings help, I'm sure.

Everything I've seen suggests only adding 1-2psi the RK shocks on Sportsters because of the weight difference of the bikes. I'm running about 5psi because I want to stiffen up the suspension/minimize droop.

maybe I should get an adv bike.. but I dont want to make the decision to choose between the truck or the bike. Thats why Ive held off so far. Also why I dont moto camp @LocoLocal . I built my truck to camp and go offroad. Why would I sleep on the ground?
