Not terribly surprising given the situation in SF area, just a guess but I would think it's carrying medical supplies.

I believe it’s out of moffit. See it almost everyday, I think I was told it’s used for training.

Shut the country and the economy down now? But barely a word on influenza in years past.

Luckily my wife and I (both in the healthcare field) are getting a much needed break and are heading to our farm in northeast TN next week. We also have reservations to hike to and stay at the Leconte Lodge. Been trying to get a room there for 3 years. We shall be attending, CVD-19 be damned...

Quick point on COVID vs Influenza: COVID is at minimum 2x as communicable and 10x as deadly as influenza. It is potentially 3x as communicable and 20x as deadly. Additionally, there are no vaccines or immunities present to slow down the spread of the virus. This is a big deal. Flu is deadly, yes. This could be much worse.

Pornhub got hacked and will play Barney episodes. Once opened, the video automatically turns your volume on full and requires the computer/phone to be unplugged & battery removed to get it to stop.

I’m preparing. I’ve got my 2 kids on stationary bikes charging up my rack of car batteries so I can keep my garage door openers working. I need to be able to get my 2 Tacoma’s in the garage at night.

It’s hard for me to trust the mortality rate. Right now it’s ~1.5% in the US. At the same time people are not getting tested unless they meet very specific criteria. I would venture to guess the number of cases is easily 10 times what we see. This would put the mortality rate around .15%.
