    I work in a machine shop full time and my wife and I own a c-store, customers have been pulling PO's from the machine shop and we can't find stuff to stock our store. Crazy!!!

    We also have a 4 year old and 7 getting ready to turn 8, party Saturday. Party may just be the 4 of us.

    Doesn't seem silly at all. Especially with a kid, that level of caution is understandable

    I am horrible at small talk so my meetings are usually very to the point and I only cover what has changed from the previous meetings and not an entire rehash every time. I've asked numerous times if folks would like it shortened since I find it disrespectful to have an hour block when I'm only using 15 minutes but everyone likes getting the time back with their calendar blocked so it is what it is. Anywhere from 30-60 people every week listening to me say hi and bye. So boring.
    I don't think that's silly at all. A lot of places near us have essentially locked their doors and are doing curbside service or appointments only. I even saw a local Starbucks is open but removed all their seating. Maybe do a change of gloves every time you touch a new vehicle?

    That's a good idea. We are taking measures. Wiping down every car when it comes in is one. It only takes one person though, to wipe out our whole shop of 25+ employees. This virus sucks!!

    :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

    We just cancelled all in person meetings here. With as inept as most meeting organizers are around here it should be weeks before they figure out how to make a web meeting actually work!

    Yeah we suspended travel a few weeks ago and all in person last week. Webex meetings are the norm for us since we have folks all over to begin with.

    I hope for your sake they don't figure out the web meetings though because having a bunch of people who aren't used to it is a hot mess. Folks talking over each other constantly, figuring out how to unmute yourself when you're double muted, or my favorite where people try to figure out how to share an application and not their IMs for the first time :goingcrazy: it's kind of funny though if you're not presenting or talking at all.

    Our company finally suspened meetings like other places, but before was just like that: hour or more long circle jerk of repeating the same information said at the last meeting with small changes that could be covered in less than 10 minutes. Drives me absolutely insane and I constantly bring it up

    Lol that's probably why I always get praise for my short meetings. If folks want a complete run down then they can reach out to me for a 1:1 otherwise they better pay attention because I don't often repeat myself.

    And don't try and book over a meeting without asking...oooo that pisses me off so much. It's lazy and selfish.

    Boys (and girlies), lemme tell ya something. I think my ol pal @My Name is Rahl will probably concur.

    I've been wanting a national shut down for quite some time now. The S.A.D. makes me think that this country has lost it's way. We are so caught up in hubris and trying to keep up with the Joneses (China) that we've basically lost much of our humanity.

    I for one welcome the opportunity to unplug, get back in touch with my own humanity and focus my paradigms.

    This entire country needs it. For a good, long time.

    We had a taste of it right after 9/11. We were nice to each other, for about what, a year? Maybe?
