I live in Northern Idaho in a very small town and even up here everyone is working from home, events cancelled and some banks have had to close early from running out of cash. But in generally its pretty calm up here in the PNW. Just curious to see how its impacting everyone else on this forum. I am a pepper by nature so I've been ready for this for years haha. I am also lucky enough to be able to work from home, but many of us font have that option and many of us have $500-$1,000/mo Taco payments as well.

Where are you from? And how are things looking in your area so far? Any of you been laid off your job because of this?

Also, any COVID19 discounts on truck parts to share with the rest of us?

Work in manufacturing in Nebraska. Starting to see some supply chain disruptions but nothing breaking unless things continue to degrade.

Working from home but concerned about the overall negative effect this will have on the economy. My 401(k) has taken a huge hit so retirement will likely be a few years further out. Expecting this to get significantly worse before it gets better but hoping for the best.

Clients are canceling left and right, small jobs from not wanting people in their house, big jobs due to economic worries. On the bright side my lawn is looking pretty good.

    I do residential remodeling/construction.

Working remotely has been interesting. Already bored of my lunch options lol. I'm used to working downtown boston with a million places to eat. Other than my retirement account getting killed all is well. However, my friend was laid off just yesterday.

Local bars are taking a hit here. Pretty much all shut down, some surviving currently providing off sale, but again, looks grim going forward.

I can't work from home, but my hours are soon to be cut to adjust to the amount of work that will come in. I will also be putting in more time, with less potential to earn money.

Just got handed the new schedule - I'm to stagger/alternate with my coworker.

2 days in the lab, 3 days work from home, then 3/2 the next week. It's going to be very difficult generating 20 hours of computer work a week when I normally station at various benchtops and microscopes. But still, I'm grateful that I'm salaried at a time like this.

As a full-time volume photographer, I shoot everything for schools (student/faculty portraits, sports teams, prom, graduation, etc.), sport leagues, dance schools, first communions, etc. This week is spring break, so I'm getting caught up on editing and posting online for parent purchasing (if they have any $$). Starting next week, all of my work is on hold until schools can open back up. Most likely, I won't see any income until next fall when things return to normal and my customers have disposable income.

I work in the healthcare field. We are mandatory work from home, for 3 weeks. This is NOT the flu, or just a cold, and should be taken seriously.

Being the IT guy here at Initech, I've been forced to get a bunch of laptops for people to work from home. Of course managers being managers wait til the last minute to put in the requests and of course I don't have enough equipment. Add in the company wanting to cut IT costs, it's just a big pain in the ass.

Daily life has been impacted and is depressing - vacation to Italy to see Valentino at Mugello, pretty much cancelled. Vacation back to California instead? Nope.

The next 6 months look like a shit sando in terms of life. Add in trying to find and buy a house too.

My job probably won't be eliminated, but you never know.

Not really for now, my primary work is field work in all kind of venues, colleges, schools, hospitals, factories, hotels, rental buildings. When work is slow, at the office I work on the computer which I can do from home.
Just finished a 4 day work in a local major hospital, been spit on, coughed on, sneezed on. Actually I feel better those days than before...corona does body good.
On the other hand, spending time in the contagious/infectious ward and seeing all the doctors and nurses NOT wearing any kind of protective equipment, it solidified my belief that this is just a hyper scare amplified by the media for political reasons.
Now, can somebody tell me why is a shortage of toilet paper? Never heard the disease giving people the shits...

So we just got back from the Bahamas beginning of the month.
Work deemed after 2 days back at work (I’m a machinist) maybe I should do the 14 day thing. So I’ve been home or off work for about a month.
Ended up with the sniffles and so I’m still home.
I’ve been watching Amazon for toilet paper:facepalm:

I work in healthcare, go to school, and work in the legal field.

We are locked down at the healthcare facility = no visitors, temperature checks on all employees and vendors. Other than that, business as usual. Nobody except management is really all that concerned.
Courthouse - the defendants get new court dates by "claiming" a fever. It is now really easy to get out of jury duty. Otherwise, business as usual there too.
School - closed. Getting screwed here. Missing midterms. Schoolwork is piling up. Missing necessary labs. When we get back, we are totally fkd, and 1 of my professors does not seem to GAS, it will be business as usual in her hard-ass class. The average on our last exam was 69, she said this was "good". Bitch.

As for CO, we are pretty much under Marshall Law here - everything has been shut down on orders of the governor.
