I forget where I read this earlier today (maybe it was here) but the quote was something like “We’ll never know if we overreacted, but we’ll certainly know if we didn’t react enough.”

Cool story bro. So you're really just a vendor, and don't work in a patient facing capacity. Pretty sure no one gives a shit about your equipment, and it sounds like you are not properly trained on how to do your job in a hospital environment. Also sounds like you have an agenda. Take that shit elsewhere...

Thanks for the answer (although you didn't really answer my question... but no worries), but from what I understand, the bolded isn't true. Covid has spread much faster and is more wide spread than SARs and is infecting faster than H1N1, which had some estimates of a billion people infected worldwide... but with a much lower mortatlity rate than Covid. The current mortality rate of Covid is suspect because of the lack of testing, which means it's probably lower.

Edit to add: I think a lot of people are minimizing the impact on our healthcare facilities... and specifically shit like heart attacks, car accidents, gallbladder disease (I feel seen) are not going to stop because of Covid and are greatly going to exacerbate the problem. insert: <kermit sipping tea meme>

Dr. Fauci (the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who often speaks at the White House briefings) said something very similar to this. My guess is others are parroting him.

my gf went into work on saturday (cut/color hair) they where all told after today we closing for two weeks

tuesday afternoon they get an email that the corporation (multiple salons under one roof) is closing and will not reopen at all...

not sure what to think but cant help but think this was triggered by (or used as a scapegoat) what is going on with the corona

    on a side note:
I think it is ironic that one side laughs at the other for buying TP
similar to when one side laughs at the other for buying ammo

    :argue:
maybe they make a vaccine that can figure out how to mate two half brains together

I’m a merchant Mariner. I usually work 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off. I’m on my 7th week and asked if I can stay on ship till July/August. The crew coordinator happily obliged.

I Work for Coke and my route has gone from a high of around 500 cases a day to 800 cases and having to run 2 trucks to get it all out there since Monday. So no, we're not being affected but we are selling more and working more.

Interesting ... there is a small drive through beer stop in my town and he said Coke wont deliver to him right now. Maybe because its a smaller order compared to others?

I like how all these numbers are being floated out there as “right”.... People are being sent home from the doctors and hospitals without even being test to see if they have it... I know this first hand because I have a friend that was showing all the symptoms and because he’s a healthy 30 something year old person they just sent him home to isolate not knowing if he did or didn’t have it. On top of that he was in a very crowded tourist area the weekend before the symptoms started showing... There will never be TRUE stats if this is how they are gonna treat testing.
