I don’t know whether to be mad or glad at how my MOOG LCA took this hit. Alignment is still perfect. Probably thanks to the @Marlin Crawler LCA brace kit

I spent the first hour of my morning reading this thread. Tons of good stuff going on here. I'm curious, what made you go with the longer Bilstein shocks for your relocate instead of going kings like you originally thought?

 

The 14” short body bilsteins cost me $368 shipped to my door & they are 4” longer than 12” kings with no relative downside to being a “14” short body” other than maybe some loss of up travel. So basically, the Bilsteins are half the price of the Kings and longer. It was a no brainer for me. Pair the bamf kit with those bilsteins and you’re out the door less than for King smoothies ALONE. The bilsteins are super impressive & 2.0” shocks. They’re sick

 

Makes sense. I’ve been looking into the archive garage relocate and the 12” king in the 2.5" variant. Ive been using the Dakar spec'd kings on my truck with a 2.5-3" lift provided by an Alcan pack, but I'm going to swap them out for the B110s to get more extension. Eventually, I'll go through with the relocate and get some bigger shocks. I'll be watching to see how you like the Bilsteins!

 

Sorry if it has been asked already, but how’s it going with stock gears? 35s on order, fenders are in the process of being cut now! Will be a whiiiile before I can regear or if I even do. So I was just wondering how yours was doing so far !?
Love the build! Our trucks are both similar in simplicity. Only difference is mine is an accesscab.

 

The truck does seriously great with stock gears. I’m so shocked at how responsive it is & how well my truck does for being kinda chopped up on 35” MT’s. I have zero regrets or complaints.

that being said. - if yours is an AT & you don’t manually downshift going up steep grades (especially at HWY speeds) you will heat up the trans really quick and kill it eventually. Get an Ultragauge like I have and keep an eye on trans temps. Def wanna keep that well below 220*. I have had a time when I was wheeling a slow 4low climb in exposed sunlight and it was maybe 87* and I stopped halfway up the long climb to let the trans cool down. You can cook it if you’re dumb or not paying attention with big tires

 

FINALLY have my extinguisher in a QR mount. YUSSSSS.
