NO IBUPROFEN. Makes it worse. No Advil, Motrin, etc. Read the labels!

Kids tend not to get hit hard. There are exceptions but only a few.

    Godspeed.

As someone that isn't generally phased by much, this is truly getting real. It is especially hard to hear that someone so young is getting hit so hard. Prayers to you and your family brother.

Hopefully the new tests start getting to areas soon. Two just got approved yesterday, much less invasive and only take a few hours to get results back. Supposed to be hundreds of thousands available before the end of the month.

First vaccine trials on humans started this week too. 45 brave souls in Seattle got the first round.

Thoughts and prayers, especially given her age she should have been one of the people that had mild symptoms or asymptomatic, but then again everything is lacking transparency at this point. She doesn't have a history of asthma or any underlying respiratory conditions? Hang in there, our county just had our first case. You're doing what you can for her, keep her in what us nurse's call a semi fowlers position (45 degree angle) to keep a patent airway, she can also practice pursed lip breathing and the tripod position. Steam is great, but be mindful of the fever and fluids fluids fluids, ibuporofen as it will inhibit COX 1 and 2 for the fever and inflammation likely going on in her respiratory tract.

I hope you and fiancé gets better soon and also your little one does not have it. I would like to share this with you with sincerity and concern over you and all that are suffering.. from an author that has encouraged me.
“One of the silver linings in the dark clouds of trouble is that God’s sovereign power and his amazing grace are most clearly seen and most highly valued when we are weak and life seems out of control.”
    - Paul Tripp

I will keep you, fiancé and little one in my prayers. God bless you.

Hmm does she have health issues? Interesting a healthy 25 y/o, with symptoms like that if it was covid-19.
Probably that influenza 1B going around.

The flu my family had back in early December was very similar to the symptoms described by the OP. A pretty high fever (up to 104°) that lasted for over a week coming and going. No breathing issues though.
