Maybe you should read the actual reports instead of wherever you are getting your news. 20% of the deaths in the US were aged 20-64

    https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6912e2.htm?s_cid=mm6912e2_w

Can you imagine marking it to your 80’s, and then you and all your 80 year old friends all die because of some asshole in their 30s?

Thanks, but I'm getting some information from a Johns Hopkins physician, who of course gets info from the emerging, bow-wave professional data from around the world in advance of the mass media. So it isn't as stale as Time.

We all going to find out that electricity does not, in fact come from the wall.

Well we are splitting atoms liked we always have to make electricity. Another positive benefit of nuclear power is we only have to refuel ever 1.5-2 years.

Can you provide citation for this? I don't want to be a dick, but I only want to pass information that has been fact checked.

To make an extremely off-topic post on-topic, That's actually my situation. My GF has a severe head cold, went to the doctor, and has been told to self quarantine from all people for 7 days on the faintest risk that it MIGHT be COVID. This includes ME, who lives with her. I now sleep in a separate room, can't see her face because she needs to always wear a mask around other people, and can't be within 6 feet of anybody including me. Note, this head cold was caused by me giving it to her!

Isn't there another thread around here for statistics?

To stay sane I'm going to keep driving to work everyday because the government deems mission more important than its people (if it actually is so dangerous).

11 years in, I was always "mission essential" drove in in the middle of superstorm sandy in 2012. I feel your pain.

    Many & varied
Mandatory shelter-in-place here. Boss has us working remotely 3 days a week and coming into the office two days a week with reduced staff each day. We have 3 weeks of food. 5 if we ration. utilities are still on. If we get to a food & water scarcity situation, we have access to a neighborhood creek but no purification system (kicking myself as it was to be my next big purchase).

If things get Bug-Out bad, my fam has a lakeside cabin two hours north in the mountains. We'll load up and caravan out with our gear.

Chevy Chase's, "Its all part of the experience" are words to live by. Most days I don't mind because I like seeing immediate work satisfaction, but those same most days you see a lot of dumb decisions and shit. I don't think I'd enjoy my career as finance, but they're still getting paid... so...

Lol, ya I had a buddy in finance, I was a weather dude, it was miserable so I jumped ship even with the job security as an E6, about 6 months from finishing up with a BSN and probably be on the front lines of this here soon, I love what I do everyday even though its killing me (nursing school). Stay safe and thank you for your service!

I already bailed out once and went to the dunes, as soon as it opens, I am heading to my secret spot in the mountains. 8250 elevation and not a sole around.
