replacement LCA's from Toyota arrived

Ordered new LCA's two weeks ago from Toyota. Took so long because they need them for the frame recall and they don't just sell them without a VIN and a reason. Should have given them to me since the truck only has 50k and has never seen dirt. That is a domestic timeline, not a vaunted Toyota timeline. Oh well... got a good deal at least. Spraying and praying the cam bolts are not seized. If I can still get an alignment next week, I will install and enjoy! This will complete my "gen 3 lift" I installed last fall.

 

I bought lower arms as my bushings are shot and I figured I'd get new ball joints too.
I have Energy Suspension bushings to go into the new arms. The lower bolts are seized and I may have to cut them out.

 

I have a couple sets that of LCAs that im rebuilding and welding the drain holes closed. They will be for sale soon

 

What does that accomplish?

Gotcha. I didn't know that was an issue.

 

Not an issue with mine rusting... Ball joint didn't last long enough.

 

How much did they charge you for them?

 

With tax and every thing the pair were just under $500 ( I am remembering $236 a piece.) Still expensive-more than Rock Auto, but a lot less than the fancy after market items. Could I have used lower priced items? Yes... but I wanted factory. The cam bolt tube thing was $19.
