Would like opinions

Hey y'all lately I've been seein everyone I kno with a dog of some sort and was thinking of getting one myself. I know the responsibilty of having one, I just wanna know y'alls experiences with dogs like what kind of breeds do y'all have, wat all is necessary like yard size, exercise for each type. I would really love to get a hunting dog btw.

Dogs are awesome, but they will unfailingly have to shit when you want to sleep. And it's cold outside. And they will take 20 minutes to find the right spot.

 

most all the types of labrador retrievers are good bird hunting dogs; from duck hunting in the water, to dove hunting in a field. i have a chocolate lab. they are pretty smart, low maintenance, can adjust to most any living space (inside the house or on hundreds of acres of land), 10+ yrs life span, and have great personalities if you ask me. the only negative thing i can think of is that most labs like to chew on everything when they are puppies. but smacking their rear end a few times will take care of that. if you're interested in them, look into black labs, chocolate labs, yellow/golden labs, and even some variations of those like weimaraners, vizslas, golden retrievers, etc. these are overall great dogs i think.

 

If you haven't masted the English language at age 18, what in God's green earth makes you think you're ready to care for a living thing?

If you take short cuts with language and grammar who knows what you'll be capable of when it comes to training a dog.


Change his batteries once every 3 months. Don't forget to dust him biweekly.

Wow I didn't know there were dicks on this site. It's called I text alot and it's a fast way to communicate. I've had dogs before and know how to properly take care of one. My typing has nothing to do w that

 

If you can take short cuts with typing, you'll do it else where in your life too.

Personally I love Border Collies. Smartest dog you'll ever meet. Too smart.
Those little bastards look at you and you know they're plotting something. Labs are cute but not the sharpest crayon in the box.

 

Yea I've definitely looked at retrievers. One of my friends has one and she is definitely lovable on people and plus all she does it sit around but of course she has some age on her. She's a chocolate lab and definitely one of my choices when it comes to types of dogs

 

I agree to disagree and I haven't looked at collies yet. I'll definitely have to look into them too

Wow thts a pretty dog

 

First two are too groomed for my liking.

Border Collies are working dogs. They don't sit and do nothing very well. If you're active they are the dog for you, all they want is to fetch and corral shit all day 14hrs a day.

And they will start herding small groups of children if you let them.

 

Our german sheperd mix is the smartest dog we've had. Can hunt pretty well too by himself. Dont know if their any good for hunting with us. Could probably be taught though. The only thing is their hips start to go later in their life.
