    My personal opinion, primarily if it’s been crash tested to crumple properly/strength of latches in the event of an accident and then fitment , lastly maintenance (clearcoat fading).

    I will never financially recover from this
    main drawback for me is that the seibon hood is fiber glass underneath the carbon fiber. Not a huge deal breaker, but I question the durability in terms of a crash in comparison to steel. OEM and a wrap is also a good alternative

    I’m just jumping on the bandwagon and here’s an alternative for everyone. We can wrap whatever OEM scooped hood we find. Color wise, I want a different color hood than the rest of the truck to make it stand out. I have a Quicksand off-road hood, close to Pittsburgh. I’m looking to get a scoop, but would like it to be OEM.

    The shop I moonlight at just installed an Amerihood fiberglass functional scoop hood on an FJ Cruiser. It is a quality piece and looks really good! I looked up the cost - it's $550 shipped. Painted professionally for around 250-300 more (or if you're savvy at painting, even better). Still a little pricey with getting it painted, but it's now on my mod list for summer.

    ...if coronavirus doesn't close down my business.
