295/75r16 & 295/70r17 PHOTO THREAD.

Well, I'm joining the club.

 

Seems like I got more mpg lol because I’m driving slower on the freeway. Lol

 

Really leaning towards this size. Just wish there were more options in the 295/75r16s, particularly the mud terrains. For any of you that have run the Hankook Dynapro MTs, how did you like them on and offroad? TIA.

 

Lol this will probably be true for me too. Tires are delivered today! Won't have them mounted for awhile, though.

 

I agree, I wish KM3's were offered in this size like they are for 17" wheels.

 

Been taking weekend trips and freeway driving really isn’t too bad with the 295s.

I've heard good things about these tires. What did you have before these?

 

i had goodyear wrangler MT 285/70 -17 and i really liked them (had two sets over @80,000 plus miles) they served me well. just wanted a slightly bigger tire and these caught my attention

 

I've also been thinking about those, so I'll be interested in your thoughts after you get some use and miles out of them. I put the GO15's on my wife SUV, and they were great this winter. Not dedicated winter great, but she never had an issue and running 1 set of tires is more economical than 2. With that experience I think i may give these a run as well. Now to decide on 295 or just jump straight to 315.

for me as much as i wanted to go to 35's, i realised that on 285's the truck had taken me everywhere i had wanted to go and as much as sometimes i needed to pick lines perhaps a bit more careful (ie remote mountains in mexico whilst solo) i was fine with it, i love the look of tacomas on 35's, but 'the juice wasn't worth the squeeze' for me - but every one is different, just think about what your end goal is

i took into account the mileage on my truck and the extra money to regear, and what gains i got out of it.... amongst everything else

 

You just use an angle grinder for the exhaust? Cut look clean.

 

Are the "ears" those 2 thin metal tabs that flare outward to keep the tire centered?

 

Yup, those tabs can be hammered. Wear some earplugs, that shit echoes under there lol
