I have a softopper on stage 2 with 1.25” of rake. Ride is great. You may want to do stage 3. When I fill the bed with wood I’m resting on the bumps

Yikes, maybe I should do 3 then. I like about 1.5-2" of rake so when it is loaded that I am then level ride height.

Hmmm. Maybe I need to go 3. Is 3 going to be much stiffer? On my 2nd gen I had the Dakar pack with their AAL and Icon coilover fronts and it was perfect height for me. It was about 2 inches of rake and when I loaded it up for camping with tent and supplies it was maybe .5-1 inch of rake which was great. I even had a dirtbike off the back on a hitch mount and it was almost level.

Option 3 may be stiff for daily driving but if you are loading out all the time then it should be worth it. Worst case you go for one option over the other and just have to do the work twice.

I'll be going camping soon (so I don't go crazy) and I will let you know how it goes if you time to wait.

I have a shell, stock bumper, and about a 130lbs of tools in the back at all times. Hub to fender is 24”. I have put atleast a 150 lbs + in addition to said tools and jave only dropped an inch in ride height. Am running ext brake line and bilstein 5125’s. Fyi, my front hub to fender is 22”
Also this is on option 2. I tried option 1 and was to soft and didnt hold weight as well i felt.

I don’t think it will ride that harsh with a canopy. If I had a hard canopy I would run option 3

I’m not loading up all the time but will carry the canopy, hilift, and rack at all times. Are you running the RXT pack?

    What are you on?

Hey guys, new to the thread. Just bought a pair of the rxts for my 2019 tacoma. I have a bedrack (60lbs), a RTT (115lbs) that are constantly on the truck. And I occasionally load up with a dirtbike (300lbs with carrier) plus miscellaneous gear, cooler, etc. Just wondering if i shoul go with option 2 or option 3.

Definitely 3 in my opinion. Just depends how often you like hitting the bumpstops.

I’m going to be towing a trailer with 300lbs hitch weight and I thought about option 3, but opted for airbags

Thanks for giving us your center of hub to fender measurements, good to know the actual amount of lift.

Also for those interested. I have stock bumps and have never hit the bumps with any of the versions that i mentioned.
I will say when i hooked up my trailer which is a heavy tongue weight, it was close to hitting thebumps sitting static and would have if i drove anywhere other than around the block, but pretty sure that was option 1.

Never have tried option 3 but Its a toss up in my opinion for your needs. Depending what ya want for normal ride heights and comfort. Option 2 has handled quite a bit in my experience’s and with a constant 335lbs +\~ it rides really nice and maintains right at 2” lift over stock
I say try 2 first and go from there. Just remember the leafs that you swap in and out for the different options long end goes to the front. Little different than the norm but thats how it is

I got my RXT ICON leaf pack option 1 installed about a month ago, and love them, except i just noticed today that they are squeaking, mainly and more loud the passenger side.. Anybody experiencing this? if so, what have you done to fix the squeaking? Thank you in advance..
