My beloved Tacoma struggling to start up.

I already changed my battery cause it was bad and this was happing before I changed it.

Buuut trying to start it up be getting more and more difficult and I’m suspecting it be the starter.

I push in the clutch and turn the key. Its a hit or miss, but it’ll either start after 3ish seconds or nothing. I release and repeat until it does start. Usually the second time did it good and not its becoming more and more.

There are absolutely no clicking sounds or anything. Just me pushing in the clutch and staring at a lit up dash.

    What ya’ll think?

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Could be the contacts in the starter are worn out. Pretty easy fix, pull the starter. Pull it apart and replace the contacts.

Is the clutch pedal hitting the floor mat?

I'd be willing to bet in a 2005 @JJ Customs contact suggestion is correct.

The telltale is that you don't hear a click.

It could be cables are corroded or broken, too, but Toyota starters have had the worn contact thing since at least the 1980s I know.

If you do hear a click and nothing happens it could be the starter motor but that's not likely.
