After the success of the Leap Day Run and back by popular demand, I present to you ::drumroll:: an Anza Borrego run from Font's Point to Fish Creek!
This would begin at Font's Point, run down to the overlook of the Badlands, then take Short Wash over to Arroyo area where we can hit up 17 Palms, 5 Palms, Pumpkin Patch, play around on any number of interconnecting washes before making our way to Fish Creek, where we would camp out.
The route would be planned so that those who only want a day trip would have a good time, with the next day doing more Fish Creek & surrounding offshoots (plenty of technical trails for the 4wd) and Sandstone and/or Calcite Mine.

Looking at 4/18 or 5/2 for this - any further into May we start getting into the higher temps.

    Who's interested?!

At this point, I'm gonna have to take a break from planning it. My workload just hit the fan and everyone's scrambling to figure things out. As much as I'd love to disappear in the desert for a few days, I think my days just went from 8-10 hours to 12 :goingcrazy:

Are there others who are still interested in going? I would still be interested in going for the day (no camping for me) and I’m open to whatever dates.

I know things are crazy for many people and I don’t want to be inconsiderate but for me it would bring a sense of normalcy if we can still get a group of people out in the middle of nowhere having some fun.

I’m still interested depending on the day that we choose to go on.

I don’t think it’s inconsiderate. We all are in a somewhat different situation and we’ll make the best decision for ourselves. For me getting outside brings peace to my life.

Definitely not inconsiderate. I'm ridiculously thorough when I plan routes, almost to a fault, for my own safety and if I'm making a route for a group then for the safety of the group as well. It's rare I just throw a dart at a map and call it a day. I like to get the most out of my trips. Right now my schedule isn't allowing to plan a full trip far ahead of time like I did with the Leap Day run but if anyone else wants to take the reins or if we all just want to agree on a day to just say "screw it" and go play on random washes and trails, that's fine with me. I figure if we have enough people and at least one 4x4 we'll be fine
With all the rain though I am wary of heading out before things dry up a bit.

That’s sounds like a good plan. I’m sure we’ll get a few 4x4 on the trails. And speaking for my self I was happy with your “ridiculousness thoroughly planning”.
