My truck is listed for the recall. I’ve twice had my truck stumble with cel light flashing around 50-60 mph. Had to pull off and restart. I assume this is due to the faulty fuel pump?

It takes a certain speed before the beep starts going off. My dads 2nd gen SR5 does it too.

Has anyone found an aftermarket/alternative fuel pump we can use?
Rather just do this myself instead of waiting for Toyota.
Can just get reimbursed by them anyway.

The fuel pumps are 4 wire PWM, controlled with a special fuel pump controller.

    No aftermarket equivalent

I guess I got lucky. I entered my vin number on Toyota's website and no recall. Mine is a 2019 assembled in the USA.

Mine doesn't chime. Someone here pointed that it only chimes when the truck reaches a certain speed. 25mph I think. Toyota listens to their customers it looks like.

I received the Toyota recall in the mail about a month ago or so. 2019 Tacoma build in Tx. Website still says no solution. The 15K service is very soon, but with the virus slow down it may need to wait till next month for the service. Maybe they will have a solution by then. I have not noticed any issues though and I have experience with Nissan going through the same fuel pump issues back in 2005 when the new Frontier design came out (Nissan had to fix the fuel pump twice).

My notice came the other day. I was on a 4 week ski trip to WY, MT, BC with no problems. I am now back home and have just put my reliable made in Japan 1993 MR2 back on the road.

So I am good to go, gas is cheap, and got no where to go. Actually in B.C. we are supposed to self isolate and maintain 2 metre Social Distancing but parks and beaches are open but not even close to being crowded.

Unlike the previous snarky answer... Unlikely and you're okay. I would check to see if you need TSB 62-18 applied to your ECU for acceleration and shifting issues.

For everyone else, my rig is officially on the recall list, but parts are on back order. I found out when went in for an alignment post lift.
