I've seen it twice so far myself. I grumble a bit at some of the historical minutiae, because I was a star struck kid at the time and followed it closely. Even so I think the film overall, especially character portrayals and racing sequences, was very well done.

    Morning Dave :hattip:
What's the status on your family making it back home?
I don't recall the story real time, I was just a bit too young, and my southern raising made me more a NASCAR fan by simple location. But agree, from everything I've read on it, the character portrayals are very well done and relatively accurate. And feel the movie is good entertainment that will endure the test of time.

Watching my preferred news channel. Gotta say, a lot of good side of people taking care of their fellow people stories coming out. Sad it takes something so severe and costly, but my gut feeling is this pandemic will help repair some of the division that's developed in our country. It's gonna cost huge $ to keep people and businesses afloat. I'm glad our economy was strong coming into this.
Those are my current thoughts, and in no way meant to downplay the loss of life and suffering this pandemic has brought to the world.
Take care of you and yours, stay calm, and please be kind where and when the opportunity presents.
    Sincerely, Rob

I browbeat SWMBO into reaching out today. She contacted her son-in-law, who had the decency to reply. Says they're on a flight tomorrow, and that supposedly it will be the last flight out of Dominican Republic. I just listened to the White House press conference and they basically told Americans that if they choose to leave the country, it's on them to get back and the US may not let them in. So I guess they're getting in just under the wire.

Friends of the wife decided to wait to get back to Canada so instead of costing 700 & change for the both of ‘em, it’s now costing them just shy of 4K. Enjoy business class folks.

Talk to you guys later. Heading to the Bahamas in the morning. Marlin, Yellow Fin and Mahi. Fuck the sailfish.

60' Gary Davis custom with 2 seakeepers. Only one in the world. Such a sick boat. Fishing with a world class capt, world class mate...two dudes that I am very good friends with. Owner seems cool as shit.

Dropped my phone in the water, nice swim for it. It's fucked. Have to get a new one when we get back. Off grid is a true statement now.

Talk to you guys when I get back. No virus where we are going

Little one (Shadow) takes her food out of bowl, drops it on floor then eats a little piece at a time.
