I heard TacomaBeast won the contract to do distribution, so it should be a great buy.

 

I bought new wheels/tires and had them installed right before the shit hit the fan. Going to hold on to my stock stuff and sell it later when the market is better.

 

Did the same with my ventilator castors. Wanted to save some cash so went with mark 8 casters and some ko .2’s. If things settle down, might get some Bilsteins for the respirator actuators.

 

Wanting to upgrade my bedrails to sliders, just gota get permission first brb...

Those are such a good buy. I keep going back and forth. Every time they wheel me down for a new x-ray, I’m like... dude you gotta order those WarFab sliders. Still haven’t done it. With the pandemic, they are on total backorder. It’s like, what’s the point, they won’t even get here until this thing is over.

 

I also need that King long travel for my bed while I’m thinking about it. It only raises so high right now, and I can never reach my kale smoothie.

I've ceased any and all unnecessary purchases. Just the basics to get by. I work in the live events industry and I've watched it become gutted in the last few weeks. From January through February my wife and I outfitted our truck for a spring break trip to Big Bend National Park and I ended up having to cancel it just so I could deal with the number of cancellations that were pouring in over this. It's been two years since I've had any time to take because we were so busy actually working. I've watched hundreds folks I've known for 25 years being furloughed this week and have no work for the foreseeable future. Now, what few of us are left are feeling guilty, fortunate and are busier then all get out just to deal with the aftermath.

I'm anticipating that as we emerge from this we'll likely be in a worldwide recession, if not worse, and the business will be slow to come back. I worry for the livelihood of many folks, including myself, in the year to come.

 

Mods will still continue for the time being but once I get that call to stay at home I’m out. If it’s not already paid up to that day it’s on hold. Luckily My company has said essential (salaried staff) will still be paid but no commissions, no extra incentives. Right now currently waiting on that day for full trans and tc swap to an fj, morimoto projectors, tons of aesthetic mods. And then finally finishing claying, waxing, and detailing the pig.

 

Damn it, now I have to be serious-
No doubt. I think if you’re not mentally and financially planning for that, you’re in denial.

You do you... just hope you have savings if you’re still buying, yet have a trigger to stop if sent home.

Not going to lie, times like this make me pretty happy to be retired with a pension.

I agree and I wish pensions hadn't gone the way of the dodo. I'll be listing a metric ton of things that have become non-essential on the classifieds and on ebay in my spare time. If there are any photography hobbyists interested in Leica or Nikon gear, hit me up! I have a decent watch collection I'll likely be pairing down as well.

I was planning on pairing each watch and camera with a role of toilet paper, a hot pocket and a bottle of hand sanitizer.
