The smallest one was under a hide and a bigger one tried to claim, they locked legs. But the vid when they’re up in the corner are two bigger ones.
I think I’ll prob get most out and have em be alone. At most maybe I’ll leave two in this enclosure.

Be on the lookout for mold in those glass enclosures. Without cross-ventilation it can be an issue.

With this hobby, we're bound to run into an issue or at the very least address some sort of concern.

Spotted my first one today -

My A. Versicolor may either be in premolt, or simply has its hairs broken off on the end of its legs. I've read that this is normal and after a molt, will regain new ones.

I've noticed this because it climbs the fake tree pretty easily, but as soon as it touches glass (or the acrylic in the initial enclosure), it just slides down slowly.

Having read that this could stress my T significantly, I thought I'd add a set of vines that'll aid in climbing and fortunately it did right away.

Will have to keep a steady eye in case anything else changes....

I learned something new and thought I'd share it for those that aren't aware of this.

It means the huge spider doesn't have a safe place to hide, so she'll be way more defensive any time I need to open the lid of the enclosure. I'm just going to go buy a 10gallon terrarium setup for her and rehouse her into that since she would have been too big for the current enclosure after her next molt anyway.

Lucky! I don't have any good local sources and all of the American websites I've seen are too overpriced.

Well, he only has 2 T's left and I've not met with him either so I don't know if he's a breeder, or just a hobbyist thinning his collection.

Originally, I was supposed to get it from him almost 2 weeks ago but work tied us up.

@Pinay found him and he had listed in the General section vs the Pet section on Craigslist.

I had planned on coming in like "I GOT AN OBT"

Lol can't wait to see your OBT's temperament. :D Mine's pretty chill and actually my King Baboon is probably my most defensive T.

    Yeah we will see!

He said maybe we can meet up next week or something so I've got my fingers crossed.

Says it's a sling, just over an inch, which is perfect for either enclosure that I have -

I'd recommend just putting the OBT in the larger enclosure. Always good to limit the number of times you need to rehouse the more defensive species.
