Trying to fix my AC blower.. took off the unit everything looks fine- got wonky after the HU install? Anyone have a guess to what it could be?

What’s it doing/not doing? You check the fuses? Also make sure none of the connectors are loose or unplugged.

Breweries here have started doing home delivery for beer! It’s great. Some of the ones that do food are doing to go orders too to keep people working too. Good stuff. I stopped by my local brewery yesterday for a few packs to go to try and support

If you have a meter you can pull the plug at the blower motor or at the switch and see if power is coming through. If you’re not seeing power come through check all connections and fuses again (sometimes you need to check fuse with a meter may not look blown but can be). If you’re seeing power come through then check power at blower motor if you see powers there then the motor may have gone bad again.

Did you reconnect the switch panel when you put everything back after the HU install?

Known issue with resistors on 2nd Gen; had mine replaced around 90K miles on my '07. :notsure:

EDIT: HU swap could just be coincidence?

Also something in there about the plug and bad connection (by design flaw :notsure: ) but if disconnected for HU swap, likely didn't make connection right on reinstall. I think this might be VERY LIKELY because you say it's not working at all? @ashris

Yeah I took it in to a local place just cause I don’t have the tools to really get in there... but the guys seem pretty stumped as well they’re testing it now. I checked the fuses and they’re all fine so that’s why I decided to take it in

But with the HU install we just used readharness from Crutchfield so no wires were really messed with ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Electrics get funny...doesn't take much disturbance to make a poor connection do strange stuff. Hope your guys get it figured out for you. :hattip:

Don't you have to disconnect and remove the HVAC controller to install the HU? Not trying to be a smartass but is it possible a connection was missed during reassembly?
