Sorry, i forgot to mention that I’m in Canada. On Toyota website it’s still 1.9% but the dealer is offering 1.5% discount to the 1.9 which would bring it down to 0.49%.
I was gonna wait till more deals starts to come out due to low sales from the virus but this offer is really tempting.

Crappy news. I had my deposit down for a locate 2020 Tacoma SR5. The truck is still "inbound" so it's still too early to even push paperwork through on the deal we agreed to. The state is shutting down and the sales portion of our dealership is closing after today. I had to go in and pick up my current trucks title and get a refund for my deposit. Supposedly the truck they located is still headed to their dealership, so hopefully in 2 weeks or whenever they open back up I'll be able to finally be a Tacoma owner.

That's a good rate, but how much are your paying for the truck? Try to knock off $3000 off msrp. Remember no one is going to buy a car around this time. Theyll be desperate

That's not really helpful because deals are multifaceted as I tried to allude to in your other post. The poster should shoot for at least 10% off MSRP prior to rebates, anything more than 12% is a good deal, then of course work on finance rate, trade, etc. Dealers love people who are fixated on OTD pricing or payment as they can easily manipulate various parts in their favor. Currently with the situation people are managing to get 15-17% off MSRP with the $1500 rebate and then secure separate financing outside TFS since you can't do both. Its a numbers game at the end of the day, just have to know how to approach it to maximize savings, which should always be discussion of price of new truck first and then build off there.

Yep, they will give you whatever you want for your trade if they charge you what they want for the truck. They will give you whatever interest rate you want if they charge you what they want for the truck, same with payment etc. Basically tell you that when they say 1.9 percent financing - or 1500 cash back or some variant of that . Whatever your hot button is they will hit it and then make it up or more on one of the other variables.

Got my 2020 TRD Offroad crew cab MT for $33k even with rebates. Of course add taxes and what not, but I assume we're just talking price of truck

I realize this is 2020 thread, but a local dealer has a left over 19 Pro. $42k.. after taxes/fees it comes out to a little over 43k. Not sure if its priced that low due to the current virus or if they just don't want it in the showroom any more. Does that seem like a pretty good deal? or is that kind of what you would expect in this market on a left over 2019 model?

I wouldn't pay that man. You could get a 2020 for the same or less if you're willing to drive or have them deliver. A lot of dealers will deliver for free if you buy from them. I got mine 450 miles away, they brought it the next day to my local gas station, filled it up, and had my papers to sign. Plus with a '19 you dont have vertical seat adjustment which, believe me, makes a difference.

I want to see a picture of a sales contract to prove anyone is getting 17% off a tacoma. Mmm hmmm.

There's a guy here who said he did with $2000 in rebates, think it was @sgmstr, I mean it seems feasible with rebates being high right now. But ya 12 tacomas in and anything between 10-12% is all I've ever seen / usually a good deal.

I also questioned it, like I said I've bought alot of these trucks all regions, so familar with the margins, but I mean there are always outliers I guess.

Thanks for the feedback. I have never really been in the market for a Pro, but whenever i see them at dealers, i seem to recall them being substantially more than 42K. I currently have a '18 Sport 4x4 premium, so it was already a little hard to justify trading it in. Same color also.. so trying to explain to my wife why i needed to spend 42K on what to her seems like the exact same truck was difficult to say the least. haha

Okay if you are just in the market for a PRO $42k is a great deal because as you alluded to they are about $44k-48k MSRP for 2019, now what the other poster was saying is you could get a 2020 TRD OR for say $40k (MSRP $44-45k) for less, but its still not a PRO. Discounts on 2020 PROs if you can find one willing to be discounted have been around $1-2k, so you're still sitting at $43-46k for a 2020 PRO. So yes if you want a PRO that is a good deal and remember PROs have been showing to hold higher resale. For instance my dealer has a certified 2019 Voodoo Blue PRO listed for $46999 with 3k miles.

It seems like i need to expand my search, because I don't think i have found anywhere selling Pro's below 45k (granted i really haven't got to the point of trying to negotiate). Although, my current job doesn't allow me travel more than 60 miles due to this corona mess. haha.. so that it narrows it down to like, 2 dealerships. Thanks for your input.

Exactly and you wont find one for less, especially a 2020, the $42k deal on that 19 (what was MSRP like $46-47k?) is a great deal if you are specifically looking for a pro.

Right, I doubt its TFS, I know there's some wiggle room for the finance guy to move but thats way below prime rate for consumer right now. I would have jumped on that for sure a few weeks ago.
