Installed rear 5160 shocks . Rides great so far

 

I tried red in my map lights, but didn't care for them. They're good for preserving night vision, but I don't need that.
Instead, I went with 6000K white lights for map lights, dome light, and vanity lights.

I put the red ones in the license plate lights.

"Sound deadoning" usually involves installing a mat material to the inside surfaces of the body.

 

Picked up a bunch of metal to make my kayak bars for my bed. Then I realized I need them to be better than "eye balled" so I ordered some premade bed rail mounts that I can just bolt my bars to. Once those show up I will drill some holes in the end of each bar to line up with the mounts and then just run a bolt through each one.

The dome light is 130 and the map lights are 92. Now that’s it’s dark i think the level is perfect.

 

Put a Demello front bumper on the trail limo.

 

Ill post pictures as I go. Right now I am trying to decide if I should bolt the crossbars to the bed channel mounts or if I should weld them down. Either one would work the same, but since the bed sides should never really move away from the stock position, I am leaning more to welding the bars. I will leave a very small gap so that they are easy to put in and remove.

 

Had to cut out the bumper and inner fender and reshape with the heat gun. So far it seems like I got rid of the front rubbing. Hopefully I won’t have any rubbing on the rear.

Seems like nobody really answered your question so hear goes. - "deadening doors" is putting sound deadening material / mats inside to doors and other outer surfaces like the roof and floorboards. This greatly improves the sound of your speakers and the rest of your sound system. I haven't done it because it seems like a royal PITA to me but it's generally agreed that the results make it worth it.

 

After neglecting my Taco for 9 wks finally took her out. Noticed just turned 20k after 3.5yrs. Here's a pic of my daily view. Lake is usually almost full by now which would be just 50ft from truck. Had to zoom in to see the white capped mountain with all the haze in the air.
