Well gents, at a time where I thought I was safer than everybody else working for Amazon, I was slapped in the face with a lay off. Amazon laid off about 100 people on Friday including me. So if you guys know of a job anywhere give me a shout. I’ve got almost 10 years in loss prevention/loss mitigation/fraud investigations as well as several years of management. Appreciate anybody looking out.

No likes for this. Probably picked the worst time for a lay-off.

Trimming “fat”. Short term strategy to increase cash reserves for “detrimental” times. It’s a horrible (unethical) way to conduct business and isn’t a sustainable model, but does offer immediate padding for the organization. The position was most likely absorbed by another employee who willingly accepted for fear of the same. They’ll ultimately quit from the excessive workload or get prematurely promoted for barely holding it together.

@ohwhale.taco knows his shit and I’d vouch for him on any account.

They are in desperate need of warehouse workers. I was a corporate program manager investigating fraud, we ran out of a job to do because most of our fraud was from China, and nobody’s getting any trade from China at the moment.

There’s some serious truth in that statement.
Appreciate the vouch bud. Hope you and yours are doing well and staying healthy

    That's the safest idea.

Alternatively, have it with less than 10 people. I'm not sure if parks are still open? Every other public location is closed.

Anyone here got a driveshaft/u-joint guy/gal? I have a rear u-joint that I think is bad. Not sure i all should be replaced and not sure how much of a pain in the ass replacing them and the double cardon joint will be. I was planning on doing it myself but after doing some reading, not so sure. I've replaced the whole front end suspension and steering system myself so I don't imagine this being too crazy, but what do I know? Not much.

Owned and operated in the US; products produced overseas.

The same as almost everything else, including the phone I’m typing on
