I'd love to get a clear wrap on the truck and my new car to cover the hood to prevent rock chips. A wrap would be neato but I don't want to put a 3-4k wrap on a 10k car lol. I also don't know how a wrap would fare offroad from branches and the like

Raptor driving school in Arizona wraps all of their trucks, seems to hold up well. Not sure who/what they use though.

yeah, all the trucks come with it im pretty sure. On my stepmom's Tundra you can see the line really clearly because all the paint around it is sun baked. For most cars you'd want to do the whole hood due to the whole thing being a slope.

I am going to attempt to wrap it myself. No way in hell I would pay 3-4k for a wrap. Most of the cost is in labor. I should be able to do the whole truck for about 400 and that's with a quality brand wrap.

I finally got my truck back yesterday and the third brake light was replaced for free. I was told Toyota denied it for warranty coverage and it was a good will repair and covered by other means. Not going to ask or care where the money came from.

The best part is I got a cracked windshield on the loaner truck in the 10 days I had it so I get to pay $250 for a comp claim to fix it. That happened the day before my foundation repair started and the crew hit the water line to my house. I think I nearly lost my mind this week.

its a film to prevent rock chips on the hood, @gasparic104 said it was standard on the new trucks :notsure:
this red truck also has the film behind the cab near the bottom which i would like to put on my black truck, especially behind the rear mud flaps, but am having issues with it so far

I agree; I think it'd be fun to try to wrap it yourself if you planned on having a temp color and had the cash to splash. The wraps themselves if they're worth anything are expensive, and imo, it's worth taking some of the vehicle apart so you can get more lip on the wrap so it doesn't peel over time. My main concern doing it myself would be doing it in a clean environment. They typically do wraps in the same environment they do paint jobs in im pretty sure, and we would have to completely clean out our garage to have any chance of preventing issues with debris. Really, 3-5k isn't much to ask to make your vehicle an entirely different color that will last as long as normal paint under proper care and that you can easily peel off to reveal your color underneath when you're through. But, if I had 3-5k, I'd definitely be spending it on a whole array of other shit before it came into the equation. Too many useful mods we have our eyes on, haha.

It’s not standard. There is an option available for paint protection film for the front end.

By default from the factory there is a spot covered on the front bottom corner of the bed on second and third gens. No where else.
