iPhone 10 covers for q charging

I looked here a bit and I am not sure....looking for confirmation. Wife got a iPhone 10 with a cover/case. Works fine in her Mercedes wireless charger, but not in the Tacoma. Works fine taking off the case, so that sort of solves the issue. My question is: are there cases for an iPhone 10 which will allow the Tacoma wireless charging? 2017 Taco

 

I use a life proof case for my 8 and it seems to charge fine in the taco.

Anything made by Otterbox (and Lifeproof which they own) is tested and certified to work. I've tested several in my 2020 Tacoma and can confirm the Defender, Pursuit, and Universe cases work without issue.

Also, it's 'Qi' (pronounced chee).

 

I use Speck cases and they work with the charger.

 

I use the standard Apple leather case, and it works fine...

Although, the Qi charger is something passengers use far more than I do. It’s too slow, and makes the phone 100% inconvenient. Just sayin.

 

The Tacoma QI charger sucks. It’s hard to get to work even without a case. It charges slow. Better off using a cable.

 

QI charger is straight trash in these trucks. Just plug it in

Works with the Apple silicone case on mine. iPhone 10. Is super slow though.

 

I use a Pelican case. Works fine

 

It all depends on the thickness of the case for wireless charging

 

My UAG case works just fine.

 

I have an incipio dual pro case on my X. It works just fine.

 

good cases for sure. I use the charger a bunch with wireless CarPlay. Don’t need any cables. The wireless is a slower charge though.

 

I’ve been using rhinoshield bumper cases for years, you can literally chunk this thing across the parking lot and your phone comes out fine and it’s open in the back so wireless works, plus you get to see the phone more, I hate covering up the design on the phone. YouTube the cases and you won’t be disappointed
