No, but you were all talking last night and I see things all over the place so got to ask this question.

I know I could buy a new AR or at least at the last gun show for like 450-500, and I know how they go together..

So how do you know if one part will work with another, or are they all made to work with each other? I know sounds like a dumb question but just got to throw it out there.

Ahh I still never get notifications from TTC via FB, oh well. Maybe it will.

 

It's a pretty modular platform. I guess it depends on what part you are looking at. I got a bare low receiver out if my dad's safe when he passed and bought a kit off of Palmetto State Armory for a few hundred bucks. Put it all together in less than an hour. It's not the fanciest of rigs, but I ran two mags through it at the range with no issues. Seemed accurate, but I was shooting from 500 yards so...

 

That's good to know, I have my big gun and no one seemed to want it so I will put the scope back on and keep it. I would like to be able to shoot both .223 and 5.56 so I'm not limited to what I can get, as I know there are some out there that do this. I def want the pica tinny rail to mount the scope to.

Best thing to do is determine a budget and start hitting up the texas gun forum or the ar 15 forum on here. Just like your truck, shit can get really fast really quick. I didn't dump a bunch of money in mine as things like this dont bring me joy. It's a rifle. But some people really enjoy the things and go crazy.

 

Ya I am seeing that, I won't go crazy but I will have something that I will enjoy and like. I am studying the site now.

 

Also, depending on how long this lasts, there will probably be a surge of AR stuff fir sale for cheap. If it closes out close to the election, prices may still be high though. People freak out and start buying because they are afraid certain political parties will try to ban all weapons or some shit.

 

Ya this happened a few years ago, will keep looking. A bunch of their stock is out currently.
