You win the internet today. We all learn, sometimes the hard way, but admitting it takes a real man. Most other guys would stare through the door glass and watch "Eddy" screw the shit up. I'd have a coffee and Brakes with ya any day of the week. (no homo) Lmao.
    Zim

Edit. Holy shit I never saw the post above of the fellow looking through the glass...shit, no offense. I did the same thing 2 days ago..lmao.

Thanks, it's a carbon fiber wrap. Love bugs here in Florida are no joke. They wipe right off the vinyl.

Installed the CB into the cubby hole and tuned it to an SWR of 1:1.2 on 1 and 1:1.5 on 40 with a 4ft firestik. Ran the cable into the cab under the seat where the unused grommet is, cut a hole in the center, filled it in with black RTV with the cable in it. Ran the cable down the door track, up under the dash and across to come up through the back of the cubby.

Purely as a reminder, this is how the antenna is hooked up, using a firestik hood channel mount and a fire ring cable.

Looks great, that’s the exact setup I want to go to next. I’ll also be coming from an extremely similar set up as you with 5100s eibach coils and an aal. You said the ride is improved but just curious in what way?

A few mods here and there and counting....
Soft and comfortable. Absorbs bumps quickly. I haven’t even dial in the dsc settings yet. You gonna it love it. Don’t hesitate if you have any other questions regarding the install either.

Awesome, I’m planning on getting everything this fall. I think you covered all the bases with your post because I’ve heard you’ve got to manipulate the hoses and stuff to get the resi’s in place. Thanks
