I got that much off mine including the rebates, but it's SR 4x4 V6 access cab, not the popular double cab TRD OR that most folks get.

Seriously? Maybe take some time to read my posts in context (noticed you cherry picked that one). I simply stated you said you claimed to have got 17% off MSRP with rebates and tagged you. No one said you didn’t and the other poster said he’s skeptical and wanted to see a sales contract, not a meaningless picture of a rebate by the way, I said there’s always outliers. And again I even stated the $1500 rebate, plus the always there military rebate, college grad, etc. those make a big difference which I stated before, but you felt the need to take a picture of, well aware of the difference in regions for incentives have bought in a few different ones. So maybe read a bit and check yourself before you run your mouth and go calling someone out. And my time here, amount of trucks, builds, etc. I probably have far more as you put it “credibility” and am more “researched” than you there bud.

And again I will say for the millionth time, with rebates makes a huge difference along with the actual MSRP. Like you alluded to $1500-2000 off a $35k SR is another 5% off MSRP. No one said it’s impossible, at least I didn’t.

Yep 15% off on a left over seems about right. Especially given current situation.

You're right. my response was more directed to the other guy. I see that you're still pissed from a few days ago..

In any case, see below. I never said I got 17%. Good Luck and see you around.

Nope, I’m good, just don’t like being tagged and called lacking credibility, just setting it straight. Your welcome to hash it out with the other poster.

I just bought a 2020 voodoo blue sr5 double cab with 5ft bed. Sticker price was just under $38,000 and I got it for $35,000. Definitely pricey for a sr5. I got quoted on a 2018 at the end of 2018 for $32,000 on an off road. I would have waited until the end of 2020 but I really wanted a voodoo blue and don't think it would be easy to find at the end of the year.

Question, when you folks say e.g 10% off MSRP does that include manufacture rebates too or no?

    Thank you

Depends I break it down some don’t since not everyone uses the rebate or all the rebates and some take the special APR. My last truck was 12% off MSRP after only the $500 military rebate since I took the special APR of 1.9% instead would have been another $1000 off if I opted for that instead. But the rate was better as this was before the COVID-19 pocalpse when they dropped rates and increased the rebate / no payments 90 days.

Is this a good deal 34k for a trd 4x4 offroad. I guess basic no tech package.. Do u think they will go a little lower. Really like the tech package with the led and the seat warmers and what not.

Pretty good deal. I bought that same truck new in 2019 for $33.2k, and MSRP only went up $200 for a non optioned out truck, I would shoot for $33.5k. I've had tech package, LEDs, prem, and trucks without, I could go with either, if you think it will suit your needs and you can get a great deal I'd say go with it.

I bought the same thing (no packages at all) for 36k in RI in December (when it was newer, so definitely paid more, but I paid less than repairing my old car to keep it going in the meantime). Also, it's 34,9 - not quite 34.

I have HID headlights, much prefered. If one goes out, I get a new bulb. If the LED goes out, isn't it the whole housing and/or much more involved? No thanks.

Heated seats can be done DIY for like 250$ max. I actually am reconsidering doing them, without leather I've not really felt the need/want nearly as much either.

Cool, rule of thumb is to shoot for 10-12% off MSRP before rebates and then you know you did well. Depending on the rebate in your region add that and you can get to 15% off MSRP. Remember the dealers are getting that rebate money back from Toyota so don't let them use that when discounting / talking invoice, etc.

That's the price on their website even before the magic "get Today's price" button is pushed, so I'd assume they'll at least go a little lower. I paid 32.5 for 2020 OR MT w/ only the LED package ($485), and the rebate is up $500 from when I bought. I'm PNW though so maybe pricing is a little different per region. Also, fwiw I think when I was looking there was a "tech package" ($700 for color bumper + sensors), and a "premium package" ($2k for leather seats, seat warmers, etc), and the LED was a whole other package all together. So all of that together adds ~$3,300 or whatever.

So I picked up a 2020 which had everything besides the Advanced Tech (which is the 360 camera, $740 option), so LEDs, Tech and Prem, Tonneau Cover, MSRP was $44.8k, I got it down to $39.2k before TTL with only the $500 military rebate (opted for the 1.9% financing instead), and was right at 12% off MSRP. This was with a lot of back and forth between 3 dealers here for a bout a month. Should give you an idea of pricing range for a loaded truck like you mentioned.

There's 2 tech packages (one has the 360 camera) and even 2 separate premium packages (one has leather and moonroof other doesnt), thats where they get pricey.

I made that mistake with my Mazda. It was used, but I got everything minus sat nav. Leather, heated seats, this that and the other thing. Sunroof.

Hated the sunroof. Used it ~2 weeks out of the year, paid extra for it, useless. And had to keep up with cleaning the drains. Coworker had a rock shatter her sunroof too. That's not common, but still not something I want to have to deal with when I hardly ever used it. Heated seats were awesome, but without leather, I really don't feel like I'm missing them. With leather my toosh would be frozen. I have white-as-LED HID headlights in there, cost ~100 bucks, worth it, and when a bulb goes it's 20 bucks to replace the bulb (balance of the cost is the ballasts).

Honestly looking back and doing it again, I'd just get the SR. But I've always wanted an off road, and it wasn't much more expensive (when they were still newer in 2020) for the same DCSB/V6/4x4 setup.
