What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I will hurt you... i floor it get my 30% manual over-ride and 3 seconds later get full throttle but only shift before redline

Iirc my tacoma would go into it before shifting

The trans was rebuilt so the shitty feeling shifting could be that

even though i have the same symptoms as a bad accumulator piston, ive googled it i still dont know where it is , the procedure, or what parts to use

And my buddy with his 97 that shifts like a transmission rubs it in my face cause he actually pulls on me

 

Replaced inner and outer Tie Rods and Sway bar end links and bushings.
Replaced fuel filter.
Replaced hood latch cable.
Been a long day...shower and bed now.

 

ABS was available in 95-97 Tacoma, but it’s a hard to find option. We have a customer at my dealer who has a 96 SR5 Tacoma, and his has ABS

 

Working on a shock relocate.

Busy day yesterday.

-Fixed my E Locker (inside was gunked up with crud. Cleaned, relubed, works like a champ).

-Built a fold out camp table (still needs paint)

-cut and installed the newer ARB fog light pods with Baja Designs fog lights.

Looks like you're the kind of guy who could use one of these. I just bought one a few weeks ago and have used it on my tractor push bar and ROPS to mount some LED lights. It worked real well. From what I have read, you just have to be careful to not break the bits while you have it attached and inserted into a hole. Any side to side movement puts a lot of stress on the bits and can snap them off.

Just manual swap. Then it does what you tell it to do 100% of the time.

10k seems super shitty lol. Pay for what u get. 158k on all the parts i changed. Why only 10k on oem lbjʻs?

 

It will still have the throttle body that only opens the butterfly 30% when the throttle is pushed 100% than the rest is determined by the computer

Theres a shift kit and manual shifter for the a340

 

The Mercer Fab frame plates we put on there 7 years ago have been plenty of reinforcement. Don't feel the need to box it.

These are 10" stroke with welded rod ends and CO type top cap to make them as compact as possible. 25" extended, 15' compressed.

I got these shocks from Matthew at MCM Fab about 2 months ago. Just now getting around to getting them installed.

Yep!! It’s all about driving style and conditions. I got almost 80k out of a set of Moogs but that was at least 90% highway miles. Although AZ highways are as bad as some of y’all’s dirt roads.

Im gonna say nah. Should move some but since you had to use a prybar to get it to move I dont think its bad yet. How bad is it if you move it by hand?

 

It moves a bit. I feel like an out of balance drift shaft or wheel would vibrate all the time.

 

My brand new one had 1/2" of play in it.
