We were hitting a couple places with submerged cover and brush piles. Hair jigs and curly tails. The one i caught was in about 11ft of water right off of some reeds near the bank.

Water temp was in the low 60s.. i don't think they're quite on the banks yet, but they're probably in transition.

You can kinda make a template. Tape and mask up everything, then install the studs into the snorkel. Paint the tip of the studs with a marking paint and press it against the area you masked. It'll help if you have a buddy to look at the alignment while you hold it in place, that would help too. Then when you're drilling your holes, up-size by at least 5% to give you some wiggle room. It'll be covered by the snorkel anyway, so you wont see. Get yourself some larger fender washers if required to take up any excess in-case you got a little too heavy handed with the step bit. Finger tighten everything down, it'll let you adjust the fitment slightly to align with the A-pillar. Now you can install the upper bracket and mark those holes off the bracket. Measure thrice, cut once. Start with a smaller than required bit (or step-bit) and move up from there until you get the fitment you are looking for.

I've seen similar to that suggested before, and that would probably be my last resort. I'm going to try and remember to call ARB tomorrow since they won't reply to my emails. I've also read that they will send out a PDF version of the template that prints on a few 8.5x11 sheets, and you just have to match the pages up. The 1st gen version of that is available online, but not a 2nd gen.
