It moves a bit. I feel like an out of balance drift shaft or wheel would vibrate all the time.

Found the source of my steering problems almost immediately.
The retaining bolt for this spline coupler was completely gone. And the splines were barely hanging on.

Kinda scary, could have completely lost steering if it popped off completely. New bolt and some loctite and no more crunchy steering.
@betterbuckleup Not sure if this is the same issues you’re having. But this is an easy check

Nah I know that that spot on my steering is solid as I messed around with the steering wheel centering a while back. Good to hear that it was an easy fix though!
Would have been real shitty if the splines stripped or came apart while driving around.

I wouldn't say that that mount would contribute to excess vibes too much unless the rubber had completely separated on each side and the top plate was sitting on the bottom one.
Then there wouldn't be any isolation between the two and I could see vibes coming from there. But as long as it's still being held up off the cross member, i'd say you're good.

Did you have your plates custom made? Are they much different than the TG, CBI, or FROR ones (thickness/frame coverage)?

The thing you'll notice most with a shot transmission mount, is the whole drivetrain lifting up and down pretty aggressively when you get on and off the gas.

Did you check to make sure you're driveshaft is in phase?

    Check this post from @slander

It’s completely stock, no angles have been changed as far as I know. Still potential phase problem?

If they put the driveshaft together wrong if they replaced the cb

well if you or anyone before you has ever removed the driveshaft and separated the two portions without marking the alignment between them, it's very well possible that it could be out of phase.
Super easy to check though. That video is a great guide on how to do it. Pretty straightforward

You found a bad trans mount, replace it

Never replaced a bad part and had the problem worsen without making it easier to trouble shoot

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Yeah, if this occurred out of nowhere it's not a phase issue.

Likely, yea. But you're CB could have also been absorbing some of the vibes during that time. And as things wear out, it becomes more noticeable to the driver.
Hard to tell with these things though. If it was super recently and immediate, i'd say that it's prob not a phase issue
