Yah I held off based on price but ended up getting it for $140 on Black Friday.

 

thats more reasonable for sure. i paid less than half of that for mine.

 

I have another ADD I paid $50 for but heard good things about the baffled setup and couldn’t pass it up.

Hey everyone! Looking for a recommendation in the San Diego area. For the past year I have had a misfire on cylinder 2 when I start up after a cold soak (over night under 50 deg). She warms up and runs smooth after 15 minutes or so, and since it is not my DD, I have mostly ignored it.

Anyway, I am at a point of getting tired of this, but also do not have the time or energy to get into this by myself. I suspect a failing head gasket, but I am hopeful for something else. I have defintily lost some engine coolant, but nowhere obvious.

Anyone have a good mechanic recommendation to help trouble shoot and repair in San Diego? Pretty certain a dealership is going to hit for for $2-4k. I have done a lot of car work, but mostly body and suspension. Did the install of the charger myself, but getting into cylinder pressure checks and a possible head gasket change has me a bit intimidated. Have not done this before and I don't know anyone who has.

Also, I am considering trying Bar's Leak as a diagnostic. Also something I have not used before and have some concern about impact to log term health of the engine... Thoughts?

So trying to adjust the Boost Bypass valve and not getting this ping/click. where should I be feeling the bind? On the valve itself or the lever? I’ve gone each direction trying to get it with no success. Any pointers? This seemed like an easy adjustment. when you turn counter clockwise is that with the blower right side up or upside down?

 

Try dealing with URD (gadget) if/when you have a problem......

They’re different types of compressors. Boils down to whether you want low end torque or more top end power.

 

Those running the 2.3 can chime in on that one, I have a 2.7 on mine. From what I’ve been made to understand, URD’s does make quite a bit of power.

The blower alone puts you at 304 I believe. I haven’t dynoed mine but I venture to say I’m probably around 325-330....maybe a tad more due to my supporting mods.
