Haha the stickers are spot on just like that wrecked Hilux! Thanks for the tips guys, that makes a lot of sense to trim the decal a bit near the part that will go on the contour. I'll be sure to get pics up today when I get all on there.

Those decals looks sweet. I would love to put em on my timberline. I hate putting decals on the paint cause doesn't it leave an "impression" if it's on for say a few years and then u decide to take em off? That would be my only concern cause the decals only really last what 5-7 yrs max.

Not really too sure. I previously owned a 96 Grand Cherokee which I removed the factory badges from after about 5 years, and there was kind of a mark where it was, but it seemed to be more like where the car had been waxed around it. Ever since discovering that WD-40 kicks major league ass at removing decal "scum", i've not had any issues and have helped several people debadge stuff before. The vinyl sockmonkey stickers are probably far less damaging than the factory badges are, and those seem to come off clean enough. As for how far they'd last, i'm not really too sure, but my dad's old 86 Toyota Pickup had a ton of factory decals on it and they were still looking really good when it meet its untimely fate after the parking break slipped and it rolled down our driveway into a brick mailbox around 1995 or so.

That's pretty cool. I like it.

Of course, "back in the day" when that lettering was common, folks who were modding their trucks were *removing* letters to leave it saying either "YO" or "TOY" ...

OK Guys, got em on. It wasn't fun, and theres still some bubbles and stuff to work out, but I think in the end it came out pretty well. Let me know what you think.

Very nice. Now if we could only get the old school cloth pattern seat covers...I think it was the Sema truck with Recaros.

Yeah that would be pretty tight if you could get old school looking seats. But I got some Wet Okoles coming that should look pretty badass. What kind of wheels do you guys think would really set this thing off? I'm thinking of getting the Dick Cepek DC-2's in 16 or 17 inch

Like the decals...nice combo with your black door handles. Rims that would look good could be black either gloss/matte depending on your decals shine and minor silver accent.
Maybe ultra goliath/ helo black maxx/ fuel hostage?

Those seat covers are tight! Yeah those wheel suggestions are all good. I was thinking the same thing, black with machined accent or machined with black accent.

I hate brown cars but after lusting for a 2010 Trail Teams FJ Cruiser I would probably buy a tan taco if it were retroed out. How can you find the dirt to clean it up after wheelin? Gotta love the 80s.

I was recently on a trip back from northern California and was able to view an 80s model toyota truck and a 2nd gen taco driving behind me. There are actually alot of similarities between the two. Pretty cool.
