I will 100% go back to Kalle when things pick up. Just nervous with being new at my job yet and watching the Economy with all this shit.

Just using the template for now.

The first few weeks of volume is going to kill me. My lungs are going to gas out before my muscles haha.

Also, should be interesting how all the independent gyms hold up through this. Corporate gyms I’d assume will take a hit but less likely to close up shop all together.

All the sporting goods stores are selling out of weights and rogue even put a temporary hold on online orders so they can catch up. I can’t wait for this all to blow over and buy equipment from everyone selling it.

Gyms will be fine. They collect their monthly fees whether people are there or not.
They are saving money not paying staff.

Not true - most of them are not charging for April or time off. I know Lifetime is prorating March and not charging April. The smaller “local” gym here closed as of last night until the end of April and won’t be charging either. It’s now mandated in our county that all gyms, salons, and public parks are closed until April 30 :pout:

    Oh boo!

I doubt LA Fitness is going to not charge me but even then I’m gonna ask them to. Its not like the fees are that much.

Our bigger commercial gym froze everyone's memberships (can view via app) the minute they announced closure. Our small gym would never do that - they are crooks. That's okay though, my bank is better than that and they will assist :) They've never let me down.

My gym said “look, you can freeze your account if y’all want or you can keep paying. We will leave it up to you but just know that if everyone freezes then it will be hard to keep the lights on”

Still paying my membership since the owner let me borrow everything I needed.

THIS! Perfect time to be building my home gym. Hopefully will have the barn done, or at least concrete poured when this is over, and then can buy up everyone's used plates and racks lol

Honestly this whole virus is working out for me... I wont be off work so I can still spend money, got enough temporary weights, been buying up stocks like crazy, and am now at a 2.75% rate on my house. Plus social distancing is no different than my normal life

I didn’t think about this. I might be in the market for a home gym after all of this is over.

Squats and deads this morning. Time to be lazy for the rest of the day.

The state where I live and the state where I work are both going on "stay at home" orders tonight at 8pm, until at least April 6th. The D.O.D just sent us all a letter that states if we are stopped to show our ID and the letter stating we are working and traveling as normal.

Traffic should be a lot better for the next weeks lol but I'm sure all the morons will clean out the grocery stores tonight....

Can someone explain this logic? Why liquor sales continue but gyms close?

Because people aren’t congregating inside an ABC store like they are a gym. They can also put up preventive measures like allowing only X number of people at a time. I’ve never been to an ABC store cuz we don’t have them in California but I imagine the only people touching things is the employee and the customer purchasing the alcohol. They don’t have to go around sanitizing gym equipment every time someone is done using it.

    This.

I just got back from the liquor store. Decided I needed some brews to make it through this. They had modified ours and only let 10 people in max at a time.

I was able to score some Coconut Merlin from Firestone Walker.

Plus you don’t want to see the backlash of keeping people from their booze.

Well the gym Im using now only allows 10 at a time so I guess that’s why I’m upset.

For most gyms thats impractical though.

I personally think they need to force all businesses outside of pharmacy, food, gas, and medical to close.

Cali and Florida need to get the National Guard on the fucking beaches and get the people out of there
