3rd Gen White Tacomas - Post them up!

funny. I recently found someone to trade me as well.

 

If you have white fender flares and just want the black ones, there is a buy/sell/trade thread where you may get someone willing to trade. Just a thought.

 

I didn’t have any luck with trading in my area so I bought one from Toyota and had it paint matched.

 

What did that run you, if you don't mind?
Thinking about trying to finagle that into my purchase as a "throw in" for price bartering...

My dealer a has a Toyota body shop as part of their business.

 

About $600 for parts, I think it ended up being around $700 for paint. They said it was easier to match the white paint than other colors.

 

Thanks man! Did they blend your fenders. I'd rather they just spray the hood...

 

Nope ... just the hood. They said they normally would blend but since mines white they probably wouldn’t need to.

My 17 does samething it comes from the door handles and on my bed from my cap

 

Aww man. Sounds like it'll be a persistent thing then not just from new. Ah well, not the end of the world. She's covered in mud right now anyway waiting for the rain to clean it off.

 

Deleted the chrome from the grill bezel and bumper caps

 

Looks great. How did you do the bumper caps? On the truck or did you remove them?

scuffed them with 180 & 1500 sandpaper. washed, and then sprayed with rustoleom satin black paint & primer

Wish I'd seen this when I was dealing with replacing the license plate lights with LEDs. scratched the s%$& out of my hands. I might do the RockAuto plastic ends, but it's 100$. Probably not going for a steel bumper for a while, but still will eventually so I don't want to spend the moolah on bumper ends in the meantime.

CBI Sliders should be delivered tomorrow

 

I'm going steel eventually too, but tires and Sliders/skids for me before that. So did this to hold me over until then. Plus I wont feel as bad if I nick it up on the trails

 

What size tires? 265/75/16?

 

They're stock Wranglers - 265/70/16 and just hit 3000 miles on this trip. 265/75 was what I was gonna go to next.
