You might want to pretend you were using a torque wrench instead of a breaker bar. Also, throw around 83 ft lbs a lot so they know you know what you're talking about

265/75/16 tires only everything else stock.
Should I get a torque wrench if I do my own work because this sounds really lame to deal with. My truck is my daily driver when it’s not forcast 100% pandemic out

I torque all my studs with a CDI wrench anytime a wheel comes off. In fact I just changed out every stud on the truck when I went to some new wheels. As mentioned, not a big job.

That said, the local tire shop used by the better portion of 13,000 folks over the last 50 years, installing hundreds of tires daily doesn't have a torque wrench in the shop. A toyota Yaris gets hit with the same impact gun that just finished up an F-350, and if you listen, the uga dugas used to make it happen aren't very different.

It only takes 1 wheel off to ruin a few dozen lives.

You should see my tee shirt collection

Yes, get a couple of them in different drives. Having a smaller one for inch pounds is also very useful

I have used an air impact wrench to torque my lug nuts all my life and have never broken the first one. I'm beginning to think the Taco is a sissy truck.

    OME and worth every penny.
I grew up in the '70s when there were still big block cars being built. It wasn't unusual to see somebody running around on 3 lugs. Had to fix it by inspection time though or it wouldn't pass.

3rd gen, should still be OK, since only the caliper and rotor need to come off.

I snapped a wheel stud myself because my Capri torque wrench didn't click if I leaned into it slowly...
