Yep. Summer is out. I was lucky enough to visit the park after that bid snow storm that went through there. It was definitely cold but still fun.

It was nice to meet you in person mike. Truck looks good. When sharing the DV experience with you I said to myself “why do I feel like I’ve talked to this guy before” haha.

Haven’t updated vehicle details in a bit so took some time to do so.

Also a little sneak peek at something in the works..

So continuing on with the headlight project.. was not prepared to officially start it but happened to receive many parts for the project a few days early and we just so happened to be trapped in our homes so I said let’s begin!

    396C54C1-7ACC-4F94-9C24-E062E92609B9.jpg

Definitely is something you need patients for and need to take your time doing. First started off with ripping the stock headlights apart. Permaseal is definitely your enemy. Only took one round of baking each headlights which I think was luck. Have seen others fight to get these things apart.

After getting them open I browsed TW to see ideas of what I may want to do as far as paint. Was originally going to do a knock off pro look but needed to add a little extra to them. I was already going to tint the side markers but @eccracer104 through out the idea of tinting the remaining chrome to seperate from the “pro look”. Took the advice and tinted the chrome. So paint came out pretty good.

After paint was decided and done came the extras. First I ditched the stock LED DRL boards and replaced them with Profile Pixel RGB Switchback DRL boards.

Next was ditching the stock Halogen projector and replacing with Morimoto mini D2s 5.0 projectors. I had originally planned to put a halo angry eye around the projector but after speaking with @MESO there’s only a few ways of successfully doing this. So I left the pro skills in his hands and decided to install Profile Prism RGB demon eyes.
    5F6D7CCD-E0DC-4139-83A5-B6D634DE6D28.jpg

The original plan was to install just a simple LED switchback for all the extras but after speaking with @Prayn4surf and @eccracer104 who both have retrofit kits it would just be more fun to have the RGB setup for the very few extra dollars that it cost. Never plan to use any of this on the streets but out on trips should be fun. So to operate the RGB I needed to purchase a XBT Bluetooth controller. BCFDBF9F-A871-4B80-91A1-2B25B2B36D2F.jpg

After testing out the accessories I was able to seal the lights back up using Morimoto Retrorubber. Through on One of the 35W 5500k HID’s to test out and the light output was great! Still need to finish up the wiring and install the lights which will possibly be next weekend. Debating on getting creative with the wiring. So until then here’s a few pictures of the finish product.

That is frigg'n awesome! Just don't use red/blue on the streets or you'll be pulled over in a heartbeat. But I look forward to seeing seeing this in person!!!

So yesterday after work I finished up the wiring for the XBT controller, HID’s, RGB DRL boards and RGB demon eyes. Wanted to try to space out the process to install the headlights. That ended up only lasting 2 afternoons. Lol. So I went ahead and made myself a plug and play harness for the DRL boards and wired the XBT controller to my switchpro so when the ignition is turned on the controller will turn on. All this will do will give it the basic function of white drl board with a switchback. Perfect for daily driving.

    DBC51009-D455-4C6A-963E-F66E3FA49650.jpg 37670AC6-5A76-4A1D-A40E-1B0B9315585C.jpg

This afternoon I managed to have enough time to install the new lights. It wasn’t to bad of a process and overall did not take to much time. Since the wiring was already done. Lights needed to be adjusted pretty bad. Lol. Used the 25’ method to adjust In a parking lot of a construction site. I must say the light output on these things is Amazing! So here’s a few pictures of the final product.
