I saw that little Taco there about 600 times. I sold my 01 a while back. Every time I saw that one a little twinge when off with an itchy wallet hand.

Glad you bought it, and got on here. I've been suffering for YEARS without anyone around this area....hahahahahaha

I like it a lot. I wish the company I had powdercoat it would of taken it down to more bare metal and it would of been a better coat. The powder is chipping in places.

    Hmm....

Mine should be here in about a month.....

Do you not suggest powder coating?

I would just because of the fact. It cost me only $75 due to a buddy having a business. I couldn’t even had it painted for that.

I recently installed my new 4x4 Victory rear bumper. If anyone has a 3rd gen and is looking to replace their bumper caps, particularly chrome, I have a set of Ecoological Armor Coated (Bed-lined) Bumper Covers. After our Tacomaworld discount, they price out at $143.95 before shipping. I'm willing to part with them for $90. I'm located in the Kokomo area. In case you aren't familiar with these, they are installed directly over the existing caps (removal of existing caps isn't necessary for installation).

Can you post some pictures of them? How long did you have them on the truck? With or without sensors? Thanks

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
Hey all. Life happened so I checked out for awhile, but I made it out to Badlands last month. So now I have a SOS streamline winch bumper and rear bumper on its way. I dread getting stuck, or not trying something because I don’t want to ask someone with a winch to rescue my dumb ars. I’m looking at the Smittybilt 10,000lb with synthetic line and a nifty remote. Going to put some better springs and shocks in back (Dakar and 5160’s) and am going to re-gear.
Haven’t decided what gear ratio yet, but probably 488’s.
It feels good to be shopping again and should have it finished by the end of April.

I’m ready to play again. :”>

It's been a while since I posted updates on the rig. I wrapped the roof, installed the Victory 4x4 MOLLE panels, got the Victory bumpers fitted, added the CaliRaised switch panel and some additional switches, and got the Baja Design S8 installed. The winch should arrive in a few days.

Looking Good! Front bumper insert with the hoop is spot on! I like the classic truck plate too, that's how I roll.

Looking great! Plate bumpers are where it’s at. I really want to get the victory4x4 molle panels soon. What do you think of them?

They are versatile and allow me to slap just about anything on them...including knives, guns, phones, flashlights, HT's, etc. Install was easy.

    Nice.
SOS shop is about 30 mins south of me.
Bloomington is home for me but I've been in the south for a couple years.
Still get up occasionally to visit friends but the fam has moved over to Ohio so sadly, it's getting few and far between coming home to Indiana.

Nice. Can’t wait to get mine. The ability to put a big knife and/or handgun right there is pretty great I would think.

@mrschulte I know this is a very old post, but shows your still active as of yesterday. Just to let you know, I live just North of USI and am pretty decent with my MIG welder. Just hobby level. I have TIG but am just learning. Semi-retired and that was on my bucket list of goals for retirement. Redneck, I confess.

Usually just do free stuff for friends, neighbors, and family. Taco owners too! Well, 1st gen Taco owners anyway :)

No. Bought it in South Carolina then got laid off and moved back to Indiana. Same company called me back in 2007 so I packed it all up and moved back.

Got the winch installed yesterday morning. Fortunately, I didn't have to relocate the solenoid. I'll swap to the Factor 55 fearlead and flatlink tomorrow (shipping was delayed).
