I'm trying to help keep the hospitals here free of criminals. Our mayor, well, the city where I work mayor, asked them to take a break from shooting one another. They are not listening.

As of 3/16 social gatherings larger than 10 persons prohibited. Bars, restaurants, etc shutdown except for takeout. Working stiffs still got to go to work unless told otherwise by the boss.

We could be heading there. Don’t see any improvements around the country to indicate otherwise. More shutting down then opening up I guess.

I can't believe what some consider an essential service. Apparently some areas think home inspection and real estate sales are necessary. What happened to logic?

Was thinking the same thing, carry out food service is "essential" too, pretty sure there are only three essential pillars to survival....real estate and McDonalds aint one

Well, it's odd to me that Walmart and Target are open, then I remembered they sell food and have pharmacies too. Loopholes.

Not sure what makes Dicks essential. Though they were open too.

I think at this point the only reason to keep restaurants/carry out open is because most of those businesses will go bankrupt if they have to close for a extended period .

Today is way different than how I grew up. My parents had 2 chest freezers and shelves of canned goods. Some shop for food every day and cannot live without shopping every day.

You search the mod-list, but don't find anything of interest.
    Mornin' all
Doesn't seem to be any snow here @lynyrd3
@RobP62 I guess all Dicks Sporting Goods locations closed on thursday (3/19)
@greengen1 I think the concern with food providing establishments not being able to close is the inability of certain peoples to sustain themselves via a stove/oven/campfire and unprepared ingredients, although the food on location potentially spoiling may be a factor as well.

My nephew has two business's and each are relying solely on their carryout ability.

I hope this wont be the case.

If we were forced to ration our supplies right now, without actually taking stock, I think we could go at the very minimum, 6 months. Will every meal be gourmet or even follow a food triangle perspective? No. Will we starve? No.

Yea, I am wondering the same about spoilage in general on all fronts.

Can’t get much more isolated than this! Cruising around West Virginia looking for @68dave but had no cell service and didn’t want to break quarantine.
