I sold 2 of 7 bikes yesterday. One I put up sometime mid last week, met the dude Sunday morning. Put up the next one after I got home, got a message and they wanted to pick it up that day, so I put out two bikes yesterday! 2 more to go.

I just spent $4k on a trolling motor for my boat a few weeks ago.. it's supposed to be in today. That may have been a mistake.

On a somewhat related note, the SS Starcraft is still looking for a new owner:

    Remaining:

BMX bike, Hoffman Bama custom build.
Road bike, ML Giant Defy 3 still stock, has SPD pedals, aluxx frame carbon forks
Potential: Motobecane gravel/hybrid style bike. I have a hardtail that I might get a second set of street biased wheels for, the only time I ride on the road is with the wife who is slower and with the dog running who is also slower. Don't really need this bike so I might pitch it too.

    https://www.wbur.org/commonhealth/2020/03/23/baker-closes-businesses-coronavirus

"Baker said he was not issuing a stay-at-home order."

"I do not believe I can or should order U.S. citizens be confined to their homes for days on end," he said Monday at a press conference. "It doesn't make sense from a public health point of view."

So...He shuts down the state but y'all can still go out and about. Can't order people to stay in their homes and start pulling over everyone. It just won't happen, even if they do order a stay in place, they won't pull people over - there's so much essential employees that it would be a waste of time when they have so many other things to focus on at this time. At worst they could do road blocks at borders and basically just see where people came from and let them on their way anyway.

    Edit wait there's more:

If outdoors, DPH says people must follow social distancing protocols by remaining at least 6 feet apart. Baker said people could continue to go to parks, but should avoid activities that bring people in close contact, like basketball games.

So yeah don't go to a rave but like, yeah head outside people, the outdoors is still safe. I'm going to keep bringing my dog out to the trails where I see zero people. I can't tell a 2 1/2 year old cattle dog to take a few weeks off...

Construction is exempt from the order, we're still going for the sites outside of Boston.

It's crazy what is considered essential nowadays. Liquor stores because you can't cold turkey every alcoholic in the country/world, moving companies since you can't stop people who need to move out at end of leases/college students, etc etc.

I'm 50/50 about me. Yes I should be able to work remote for this whole stretch, but it's honestly nice to have a break from the work from home stretch last week and have a full day in the office today.

Yeah, we're supposed to get like 6 inches out of it. I'm just going to let it melt; the driveway isn't frozen any more, I've got 4x4, and the GF is working from home for the foreseeable future so she's not going anywhere.

This really isn't that much different than the past week' besides non essential business closing. Technically I'm I'm essential as an enginerd in the energy industry, but not spending $60on gas every 2.5 days is kind of nice.

Yeah whenever we get snow I look at the weather the next few days. If it's gonna melt, I might beat down the end of the driveway so my wife can get through but otherwise, whatever. I did that once, shoveled like 2 ft of snow in 6 inch batches, then it was all melted from rain within a couple of days. I'll clear out the cars and make it accessible in the meantime but whatever.

Yeah everyone lost it when they announced it but then if you read the article it literally goes into being able to go outside, etc etc. Really this is all symbolic and the gov't (not in a conspiracy thumper kind of way here) can't make us do anything right now as far as sheltering inside and can't leave period. For multiple reasons, first one being it's unconsitutional yaddah yaddah, but also they've got so much stuff going on, as long as it's not a parade march downtown trying to infect people, they're not going to spend the resources trying to maintain separation/distancing.

Everyone is flocking stop and shop and shaws and walmarts. Nobody cares about save a lot/price rite/daves. It's awesome, I go into the save a lot close to home and get what I need no line no people only shortage is TP, no surprise there though.
