Okay to start I have a 2019 trd off-road just hit 10,000 miles. I have been experiencing a sort of clicking noise when driving over a speed bump or hitting a pot hole. At the oil change the Toyota guys said they looked at it and tightened everything but I would need to bring it back so they can look into it more. The problem is very intermittent and they couldn’t pin point it. So I’ll have to schedule a day to bring it in so they can look into further. Has anybody had the same problem or has anyone heard about it?

Has a slight metal to metal sound? I have the same thing, but been lazy and haven't looked into it yet. Same scenarios too, only happens on speed bumps or potholes.

Been meaning to check out the bushings scattered around the front end, thought I read on here before that might be a place to start. Definitely gonna be watching what input you get from the others here.

Check skid plate bolts, a few on here had loose bolts on them.

Same noise here, just a light metal tick only in speed bumps and small dips. Doesn't sound serious so like everyone else have neglected it.

I second the skid plate as I had to bend mine a bit to gain clearance and stop the noise it was making.

I had this issue almost since new, replaced front core support bushings with energy suspension that did nothing. Finally tore everything apart and found cracks in my core support probably from being allittle to ambitious offroad. They're not getting worse so for the time being I'm ignoring it until I have some extra cash to take it to a body shop. But you might check yours.

Had this issue, Toyota replaced my front suspension (although I think it was just the shock and spring) and it resolved the issue. They took my problem Bilsteins back for R&D or so they said

Suppose I got lucky. I took it in for a clicking from the front of the truck on dips and speed bumps at low-moderate speed. They couldn't recreate it and offered to ride along with me. I got it to reproduce on the speed bumps in their lot. Some Toyota rep came out a week or so later and supervised the replacement and took my old gear back to the shop.

I probably got very lucky, the techs actually seemed to give hoot. They also gave me a $100 voucher to use at their dealer but it is across town and I never made the trip back...wonder why they didnt mail it to me.

They said the same for me they tried drove it around but couldn’t recreate it often enough. So they said I would have to bring it back. They said that they were going to call into “headquarters” or the higher ups and see if they’ve had any other problems like it. The skid plate was the first thing that was checked out and everything looked good on it.

Just an update i just got my truck back from the dealership. Dropped it off they had it for 4 days. I got a call in which they informed me they had every master tech they employ and seems like everybody that works at the dealer ship to drive it and try to recreate the noise. Which came up empty they said they need to recreate the noise in order to start working on it. I got in the truck drove it down the road while going over the first speed bump it made the clicking noise! I'm getting frustrated because the dealerships dont seem to want to help. What should i do?

Darn . I took it to a body shop and just showed them pics and they ball-parked me $1500. I Thought they were just trying to get rid of me because I wasn't coming in for an deep pocketed auto insurance funded car accident.

I may have the same problem. 2019 OffRoad 4x4 v6. It only seems to happen at low speeds when Im turning and going over bumps. Anyone know how to troubleshoot this OTHER than going to the dealer? ie what to do to test things out to find the culprit? It isn't a "squeek" so Im not sure if it's the leaf springs. It sounds a little like this but not as high pitched, a little lower pitched. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J90T5YvT-nI

Any big reason you didn't just weld / plate it or did you just want to go the clean professional route
