Not any great pics on hand but all these show glimpses of them. FWIW, they are most visible when dirty.

Thanks for the pics. I like the look of those over the alternatives.
Might have to look into having a local metal shop plasma me some custom plates and price out my options.

Also, what length of durobump rear bump stops are you running? 4.25"?

I have been running Timbrens with the old shocks and springs. With a spacer they are ~5" IIRC.

Hello friends, after a long while of trolling our forum. I finally need help.
This "pandemic" has allotted the time i need to do a motor swap, and some light repair on the transmission,
however ive run into 1 small problem over this weekend. This little green bastard didnt find his home. And i cannot find any matching exploded diagrams to figure out what/where that plugs into. Send hallp:bananadead:

That looks like it should be one of the connectors for the 4WD light. There are two connectors on the drivers side, and one on the passenger. By looking at your picture, I would assume that the one your showing is for the passenger side. The connection for it should be on the side of transfer case, about where the muffler is. It's a little hard to see and to get to.

Spent the weekend working on getting the Sport/SRunner bucket seats into a fully functioning set!

I had found the SRunner seats I had picked up previously out of a wreck had bent tracks on the passenger side and wouldnt slide forward and back,
    20200323_110720.jpg

and the driver side had a broken height adjustment rod so I could not adjust the lap height.
    20200323_112306.jpg

After scouring dealership sites for weeks only to find they do not sell these tracks anymore and they cost well over $400 just for two tracks IF you can even find them somewhere, and having 2 orders cancelled on me, I decided it would be better to drive for 10 hours (round trip) Saturday and bring home yet another set of the rarest and most sought after of all Tacoma parts - MORE Tacoma Sport bucket seats!!

Then I spent yesterday swapping the better cushions that I had from my first set onto the fully functioning tracks from my second set. This second set was from a rollover vs the high impact frontal collision as a note to find seats without bent tracks for others that may be on the hunt for seats of their own.

Here is the work in progress shot.. I suppose it was meant to be getting both sets of seats since my first set had the nicer cushions and covers, while the second set had the best tracks for both driver and passenger. Also I had some broken inner shields and luckily all the plastic shields were in great shape on the new set!
    20200323_110748.jpg

Here are the fully functional Sport bucket seats from taking the best of all the parts available, next up will be waiting for the sun to come out and giving them the full steam cleaning and detailing all parts prior to installing them into my truck.
    20200323_110656 (1).jpg

I am super excited, as you can likely tell I think seats are one of the most important parts of the vehicle since this is what connects your body to the truck. Also I love using oem parts wherever feasible and these are the nicest oem seats that ever came in the first gen Tacoma imo, so I must say thank you to the Tacoma gods for rewarding my efforts and making my Tacoma dreams come true!!

Already checked the weather, and if all goes well I will be cleaning these up and getting them installed by next weekend. :bananadance:

Believe me, I have read so many Threads and Posts about the subject. I have a pair 1/4" spacers. Previous chrome wheels needed them to clear calipers. The wheels were a good deal at $800. Now just need a set of lug nuts. Spoiler Alert! Not installed just real life photoshop. lol20200314_191500.jpg

$800? Geez. I paid $280 for my silver ones as new take offs from my local dealer.

That is a great deal, but silver. They were all silver before 2020. I could have bought a silver set for less, but then I would have to paint them because silver wheels arent my style.

Dude was proud of them until you sent him down the depressing path of buyers remorse.

but maybe he means wheel/tire combo?

The CBI plates are great. Lots of holes in them as well, same (or perhaps slightly more coverage on the frame.

Depending on the pricing you can get on custom ones, I don't feel like I'd pay more than the CBI ones would cost (even though I've not had good experience with CBIs service in other situations)
