Well to avoid talking about everything that's been going on. Got to go out to Little Moab this last weekend and did some small wheeling in the Tacoma for the first time. Don't wanna hit the good stuff without at least rock sliders. Also I now want another RC crawler.

I would invest in a set of Bamf skids. The full set is $700. If I were keeping my taco, I would be buying a set. My old skids are pretty beat up.

Also, the Allpro Apex sliders have been awesome for years. They bolt on, but also are plated on the top so you can access a roof rack.

I think that may be realistic. I honestly think the amount of people infected in the US is much more than reported. I think here in the US every state needs to have self quarantine in effect until further notice. I saw a ton of people out an about last saturday as we went to the grocery store. I drove past liberty park and there was a total hippy drum circle in the park... So much for social distancing.

3" lift with Bilstein 5100s, OME coils, and an AAL package... so far.
Hey guys, I've been researching and trying to find some new tires to put on my truck. I got a 3" lift on the truck and need to get some new tires to fill in the space. I'm planning to keep the OEM 16" wheels to save on some money though... meaning I gotta find some tires that are either 275/70R16 or 285/70R16... What I've found so far are the BFGoodrich KO2s at 275/70R16 or the Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires at 285/70R16. I'm leaning toward the BFG KO2s... Basically, my question is: Are these the only options or has anyone found other options that I'm not finding?

I'm not sure about other options but you're on the right track with KO2s. Here's what one of the most knowledgeable guys around has to say about it:

For an all-terrain, the K02s are nice. I was just reading about the Toyo AT III that just came out. Still too early about the AT III. Apparently toyo fixed some things that were wrong with the AT II.

Stay away from the BFG KM2 if you are looking for a mud terrain. The compound is very soft and will not last on the hwy.

I have been pretty happy with my Toyo Open Country M/T's if you are looking for a mud terrain. I have no problem running them at 15 psi. I run them in the 255/85/16 (tall 33's). The side walls are awesome, and I haven't punctured one yet.

I’ve had Toyos, Nittos, Goodyears, BFGs, Dick Cepeks (for a short while, probably not enough to form a proper opinion), and Falkens. I keep coming back to BFGs. I currently have KM3s on my Tacoma and KO2s on my 4Runner. I much prefer the KO2s, but the KM3s aren’t bad. I’m going to be going to 35s on my Tacoma and if I don’t upgrade my wife’s Jeep to 37s and take her 35 KO2s, then I’m going to try the General red letters.

BFGs are a good tire and you won’t go wrong with them. Don’t fall for the saving a few bucks, you’ll regret it.

Went out to Little Sierra over the weekend. Nothing crazy. There were so many people out there. From a COVID-19 standpoint, it wasn’t pretty.

Has anyone explored the area around there. Driving back home all I could think about was exploring the area.

Can confirm. I had them on my van and they were nearly worn out before 30k. They did get us out of some tough terrain and never caused any trouble though.

@ronsenpai10 if you don't wheel a ton/if this is your daily driver, I'd recommend AT over MT; they're much more pleasant on a day to day basis. Also, careful how wide you go with OEM wheels. You'll likely get some rubbing with the offset on stock wheels if you don't do some chopping.

Don't you know the rules apply to everyone...except them when their missionary comes home (Carrying who knows what they may have picked up in the foreign country they were in or the many airplanes they were on to get home...) #endrant

This is the exact kind of crap that drove me away and caused me to want nothing to do with the church.

Those are some pretty broad strokes you guys are painting with there. They were specifically told not to do that. Also all the kids are supposed to quarantine for 14 days. I can tell you that there is a lot of emotion involved in having your family come back from a mission without a global pandemic and countries shutting down borders. Does that excuse an utter disregard for rules? Of course not. But calling us all stupid and hypocrites for the actions of a few people is going too far. Just like people who labeled the entire population of Utah stupid for buying up all the toilet paper. This is just to say we aren't all like that just like you all aren't crazed TP hoarders.

    Thx!

it was okay. Lots of Polaris and CanAms out there. I was the lonely Taco. Not the best place for it.

The surrounding area could be cool to explore.

I was real curious where little Sierra was... ;)

I have some friends that head that way regularly to dirt bike. Haven't heard much about the wheeling. Sounds one it may be worth checking out?!
