Stay healthy and stay safe <3. Keep positive and know all this pain will make you stronger as a father. Prayers for your family and to anyone who's feeling sick out there.

People need to take this more seriously. I can't believe there's not a shelter in place here in the northwest yet. Im actually angry we aren't on lockdown yet. It's insane that all we have to do is stay inside and watch netflix, and people won't do it.

To anyone out there hoarding toilet paper and roaming around town without symptoms (yet), for the love of god and all of us, stop.

Such a great update, Jakk. I'm so happy to hear this. Your family is beautiful. Best of luck in moving on from this terrible episode of your lives.

Crazy that it is taking so long to get an answer on the tests. Here the tests are taking 24-48 hours to get results. I would think Socal would have a similar turn around.

Glad to hear they are both improving! My wife is an ICU nurse in the bay area and it has her and her coworkers stressed out.

a friend of mine just got his results after waiting about a week, the answer inconclusive, continue to self quarantine

my father in law has been in isolation at the hospital since last week Fri, his doctor determined it was an intestinal bug, however no test results to confirm, has to remain in isolation and cannot leave his room, the hospital has been closed to visitors for close to two weeks

glad to hear everyone’s pulling through.

i’m gonna give my story a run.

4 weeks ago start getting a sore throat, notice tonsils swollen w/ white spots develop fever & body aches.

go to doc, given a strep test, comes back negative doc is like well, imma give you penicillin anyhow.

couple days later i start to feel a bit better, body ache and fever are gone, tonsils never fully get right.

i never thought anything of it. never got much worse.

The last two weeks tonsils have been still swollen, but not overly painful and still making those lovely white spots, no fever as of yet, but like clockwork at about 5pm i feel super run down everyday for a few hours. in that time this weekend i’ve had a mild headache and a somewhat persistent cough

Ive been at home and limiting my contact with the world once i was like hey maybe...

i dunno wtf i’ve got going on that’s still here after the 10 days of antibiotics but i sincerely hope at this point it was coronavirus and i’m one of the lucky mild cases.

    stay safe and healthy y’all.

I check for updates several time per day for the great news.

Thankfully we got the great news and everyone is on the mend. You're a good man Jakk, and will make a great father and outstanding husband.

Ive been battling with something similar but my doc wont even see me because... I'm just north of seattle so things are pretty bad here. Thought it was over with so I had my first smoke and drink after a couple weeks of cold turkey and BAM! it was back stronger than ever the next morning. Still coughing shit up and have close to no energy. I'm just going to assume its the unspeakable and stay inside for a week or until its completely done.

To any smokers out there that have symptoms, do anything to not smoke. It made my mild case into coughing fits at night for a few days.

    TW,

first let me say.. thank you all for the wonderful comments and messages. It is truly an amazing feeling being apart of this online family. I’ve showed my fiancée what has been said and it brought her to tears....You all are truly blessings and in our time of darkness... it has been so great to come to this forum and see the love / care that you all have showed us...

Also, I know a few of you have asked if we have our results yet...

So we were told from our hospital... that they would have results in 3-5 days after my fiancée was tested last Tuesday .. We called the hospital, they directed us to the CDC, the CDC directed us to the California Health Department, California Health Department directed us to the County Health Records, County Health Records Directed us back to the CDC, CDC directed us back to the California Health Department who is now saying ... to call our hospital.

After getting extremely upset and mad...

Our hospital finally told us it’s still “in progress and they have patients who’ve been waiting longer”

That being said, we are doing better. No fevers, minimal coughs, and again.. spirits are high.

we are stocked on supplies, both of our careers are on hold right now, just riding this out.

Will update you all when we have more info.

Did either of you have painful / swollen Lymph nodes? Today I noticed my lymph nodes were also sensitive to the touch and I felt really down/weak like when getting the flu. No fever still and upper chest doesnt feel abnormally tight.

Glad to hear y'all are doing so much better! I was talking to my wife about the situation. Here in san antonio it hasn't got that bad 59 cases today. But we have a 2 month old little girl and it's a frightening thought of her getting sick.

My FIL got his C-19 test results today after the director of the hospital chewed on asses at the lab, his results came back as negative. He’s now chilling on his own couch at home and eating whatever he wants and ifen he wants to leave his apartment to go for a walk he can. It’s senior independent living community so he doesn’t have to go outside for a walk.

At the virus task force meeting yesterday they said backlog of US testing should catch up sometime this week. Fingers crossed.

Thanks so much for sharing your personal experience. This is something that’s been lacking in media coverage. Frightening, but necessary so people know what to expect- and also to know that there is hope. Bless you and your family. They’re lucky to have you!!
