That would imply he hasn't released a beta tune for your ECU. I had to upgrade my ECU firmware just to get the beta.

I am a little confused with the naming of the files. What I have is the 04B04 total stock except for my tires, 265-75/r16 and a dongle. The first file is stock 87 octane, exhaust link but, if you look towards the end of the file name it says 4.88. Is that file the one for total stock vehicle without 4.88 gears?

This statement has me a little uneasy. Changes like existing customers will have to pay for updates (dare I even say 2.0??)

Needless to say appreciate all do Mat. Honestly not trying to cause issues here

I’d assume it’s more along the lines of new tuning kits cost more due to cost increase of hardware.

About 75 miles on the new 2019 beta and it’s very encouraging. I tried 19800 after 19770 but it felt mushy and not responsive enough so I’ve been on 19770 for a long time. So I need to reset the learned values in my driving habits to come to terms with this linear throttle response. Its good but unfamiliar. The power is there when you want it but just need more skinny pedal. Frankly, it hauls ass if you ask for it. The quick 3-4 shift is vastly improved and it also seems like we got some roll back with engine braking. I like that. Much more logical and predictable shifting. And no faults so far. I will send to zendesk after another 125 miles but again, very encouraging! Uphill is no longer an issue. This is damn near perfection. 4 low is much more controllable. Thanks Mat.

pricing changes to some of our products. Likely going cheaper, but we will see.
I don't want to charge for updates. Definitely seeing the effects.
Schools are closing the rest of the year in Virginia so now my daughter will be home every day. So.. there will be some operation changes.

You get to play mommy for a lot longer!

Anyway installed tune. Operation wise it seems good. 3/4 shift much improved without a doubt. Have a video if you’d like me to upload though under wide open throttle. Traction control light comes on now at high rpm yet no slipping of the tires. Also the throttle is weird now. I just drove to Tuscaloosa and back on old tune and there’s no doubt there’s a difference in throttle response at normal take off. It almost seems as if it’s a dead pedal for a certain point then if you keep pressing the pedal further it finally accelerates but it lugs me back in the seat a bit. Can’t explain it well but seems it’s either granny speed or quick acceleration mode and not very linear.

on this beta I tried to make the first bit of pedal travel similar to stock, because of so many reports people don't like a more aggressive tip in on the AT

4/19 ORDCLB, truck is running great with this new tune. Tip-in seems fine to me. I'm happy to report that there is no more fuel cut-off at wide-open throttle. Thank you again, Mat!
