    They are emulsion shocks so the nitrogen and fluid are not separated. If your schrader valve core is defective that would explain your low nitrogen pressures. You'll need to open up and top off with fluid now though.

    Seems like you could have a leaky valve then. I had a little come out when letting nitrogen out but nothing should come out with the valve closed. What happens if you cycle the shaft with the whole thing turned upside down? You can just fill it with any compressed air to test the valve also.

    Valve doesn't leak, only when I released nitrogen.
    Nothing happens when cycling it. No leak.

    Wait I’m confused - did the oil come out when you held down the valve piston with your finger and compressed the shaft? It now sounds like what @desertjunkie760 and I were saying that when you let nitrogen out oil will come out also unless you’re careful to just let the nitrogen out slowly.

    Whether I hold the piston valve with finger or with the no loss chuck release valve it leaks fluid. I was not compressing the shaft in either case.

    You probably don’t have a problem then. If it holds pressure you’re good. A little oil released isn’t a big deal - I had the same thing happen but I’m talking a couple drops. Might have to refill before you install them for good but to mock up it’s fine. Just use your fingernail or a house key or similar object next time and have them vertical to be able to stop right when oil starts coming out.

    This. It’s an emulsion shock so you will loose oil if you’re not cautious. Hold it upside down and open the schrader and you’ll loose a ton of fluid.

    So I am FINALLY going to be putting a front end kit on my truck. Just want to double check with yall. Do I need any random fluids? Going to get some good grease, and dot3 fluid. I thought I saw that you need to replace fluid after installing new cv's. I forget if it's atf, or gear oil...
