@OVTune I had no issues flashing or downloading. I cleared all data and re downloaded everything. Flashed truck without a hitch.

I have to give a little bit for the pedal response and stuff. But the shifting at redline is way better. Top end seems stronger.

I “wish” there was someway to shift in manual mode while wide open. I can ratchet that shifter over and over but it won’t shift till I let up.

the vf tuner, will it have access to shift pressures or anything?

price for a license is on our website.

yes you can change throttle angle / throttle target for every gear, individually,

once I fully understand the code that controls it, I can implement direct shift pretty easy, like I did on the Tundra. It shifts immediately when you push the lever, regardless of rpm or throttle position.

    Try this:
    Config>purge local data
    Config>install all software
    Help>update

Edit: you should probably be using the latest version FM 1.3.0, Nov 2019.

@OVTune , it might be worthwhile to do a side-by-side comparison of the different tuning tools you now have listed. I'm an OG dongle guy (original dongle even) and have an order outstanding for a handheld from August of 2019 (2016 - 2019 Tacoma 3.5L Handheld Tuner - FLASH KIT ACCESSORY × 1) and am still not quite certain of what I'll be able to do with it (custom tune or no?).

You know, one of those tables with features in leftmost column and tune kits on the top row with a yes/no in the grid space? Just a thought.

upgrade to 04BO4 - it is worth the effort - but likely won't come out anytime SOONer.

Look for posts by @lapoltba as his signature has a list of individuals by location who may be able to assist.

God I hope those folks didn’t ruin it for the people that don’t think the throttle is too sensitive and know how to drive. Mushy throttle in a 300hp vehicle seems counter intuitive. I live where there is ice and snow and haven’t had an issue even with 4.88’s and more “tip-in”. The 04B04 0944 4.88 tune has the most ideal perfect tip-in of them all. That is what this tune needs if one “tip-in” was to be chosen.

That mushy throttle stuff is the worst. Accurate pedal to throttle ratio is how you achieve the best mpgs. Having driven EVERY tune over the past 3 years (since 1.02), the ones with slightly higher tip in consistently yielded better mpgs because you could feather the throttle on long drives, even when towing.

I was a big fan of the tip in on 1.05.1 and the more “intense” tip in beta. That being said they were useless for technical off roading in 4L. You couldn’t modulate the throttle at all and crawling was extremely difficult.

I’m looking forward to map switching so I can run a performance tune on the street and the stock tune off road.

yes, indeed, that is the one drawback in 4-LOW. I am hoping we get an option to have it in the perf. tune.
I used 4-low the other day in the snow and the 04B04 0944 4.88 tune I mentioned was still cherry.

I've been following this thread for a long time and I still don't know what a TIP IN is.... I do know that you never wanted to hear about it again!

You know thinking about it, you don't edit the number you just click on the block with the number of blinks you want. It will highlight and then you click Apply. Let us know if you still don't get it and I'll see if I can't get some better steps for you.

Basically throttle sensitivity. Input to output ratio for the beginning acceleration

I think Config 1.3.3 is the wrong version. It's counter intuitive, but I think 1.3.0 is the latest.

You need to get the tune from the beta page. 2.0 is not out in flash manager.
