There are some very special people in CA (Santa Cruz) and they fit this very well.

People from Santa Cruz hate Californians, hell they even hate themselves. But they do think they're better than everyone else :jerkoff:

I don't think I've ever seen a group of people as protective of their community and against outsiders as the long time residents of the Santa Cruz mountains are. They appreciate the tourism for the money of course but god forbid you mention what it must be like to live there lol

And it is fun to inwardly laugh at their delusional beliefs

G'dammit...preheated my oven for some frozen pizza.

I've got steak but I'm too lazy and tired to make it. Especially after I had dinner cooked for me the past 2 days.

Don't get me wrong I do like REI... I'd shop there way more often if I could afford it, they're expensive but they do have quality stuff. I always get my hiking/outdoor boots from them.

My dad has probably spent enough money in there though to pay for all the execs end of year bonuses, he loves that place. 5 years ago he took my brother and I on a 3 day REI guided backpacking trip through the Yosemite backcountry, one of my favorite hiking trips ever

I've spent too much on backpacks and backpacking gear, socks, and their pants.....I love their hiking pants and have multiple pairs (fucking expensive though like you said).

They're also my go-to for Salomon boots...my favorite boots I learned about in the military.

That's my dad's favorite brand, I'm more of a Vasque boot guy myself. Have really narrow feet so they usually fit best, although the last pair I picked up were Merrel I think

Never tried Vasque, but Merrel are what the SO has and she loves them.

I'm one of those boring types that finds something that works well and sticks with it. I don't think I could try a different brand if I wanted to.

Mine is pretty stiff but I'm running 881's with no armor or bumpers and a 2.7. My front is slightly higher than the back by an inch due to me rocking a shell as well. My upper control arms and ball joints are stock but they're pretty worn out so I'm looking at changing those out soon.
