Never tried Vasque, but Merrel are what the SO has and she loves them.

I'm one of those boring types that finds something that works well and sticks with it. I don't think I could try a different brand if I wanted to.

Mine is pretty stiff but I'm running 881's with no armor or bumpers and a 2.7. My front is slightly higher than the back by an inch due to me rocking a shell as well. My upper control arms and ball joints are stock but they're pretty worn out so I'm looking at changing those out soon.

Question, only cause I'd like to offer some advice.

Any way you can lessen the preload on your front coilovers?

I ask because I'm not familiar with your setup; ideally you'd want a little bit of rake or at minimum...level since you've already got weight on the truck.

Lessening the preload (lowering the front) will also soften the ride a bit.

I don't think so as their OME coils and shocks with a Dakar pack.

Dang...I've got a Dakar leaf pack as well and my truck is a pig. Still retains a slight bit of rake and I'm not running an AAL or anything.

I wasn't sure if your coilovers had some preload setting you can adjust to or anything.

No. I have an ARE shell which weighs the pack down I think. My front is a little high because of the lighter weight up front.
